At this rate, Yachi was starting to think staying in Yubari for a holiday didn’t sound too bad. She had been spending so much time in the city recently that whenever she went back home to Hinamori, she was always surprised at how small it was in comparison.
I wonder if the schools here are any better, she thought to herself, as she passed by a sign that read “YUBARI HIGH SCHOOL” in bold print. Judging by the neat buildings and relatively clean walls, it seemed like a place where you could get a decent education. Yachi had to admit, Hinamori High was a bit...lacking in certain areas. It wasn’t bad, but it could definitely do with some improvements
As she walked by, she passed by a spiky haired teenager who looked at least a couple of years older than her. While the stranger did catch her attention for a brief moment (wow, that’s some interesting hair), she didn’t really notice anything unusual.
A couple of metres later, however, she almost stepped on a wallet lying on the pavement. Picking it up, Yachi looked around cautiously before opening it. To her pleasant surprise, there was a school identity card with a picture of...
...the stranger she had passed moments ago.
Sprinting back the other direction, she almost slammed into the back of the person in the identity photo. Holding up the wallet, she paused to catch her breath.
“I, uh, t-think this is yours.”
