It was rather impossible for Saruhiko to stop being so affectionate because since Misaki and him became soulmates and lovers he never wants to let him. “Plus you’re mine remember? Feeling his chest bubble with happiness, he let out a soft purr. “Damn right I’m hard to forget, Saruhiko!” he said softly and stuck his tongue out, teasing the other. And though he didn’t come out and say it, Saruhiko wouldn’t exactly be easy for him to forget either...ever. Even in all their time apart, he had been...difficult to let go. Misaki never really had. “Right...” he whispered, taking his hand. “Forever and always.” They were soulmates after all.

Misaki was panting and he continued to do so as Saru backed up, pulling off his glasses. Misaki felt his face flush even more as the other male did so. He looked so damn good without them it was almost a crime.

Licking his lips, he growled and wrapped his arms around Saru’s neck, feeling his lips tracing over his soft skin. “Hgn...s-shut up...Saru...” he moaned softly.

Getting a job had certainly had it’s perks. Making money was nice and he was already ready to buy something for Saru, hoping it would impress him! However...

There was one thing Misaki wasn’t quite used to when it came to working and that was actually having to interact with women in a proper fashion. Usually he stammers awkwardly and sort of eventually gets words out. 

Today he was damn lucky and thankful when the only girl he had to interact was a cute, younger girl, sitting at one of the tables by herself. He could deal with younger girls, especially if he just imagined they were like Anna! That was fine...any much older though and he could never quite handle himself properly. 

Leaning down, he took her empty plate and smiled as best he could. Being polite wasn’t exactly easy for him either. “I uh, I’ll get this out of your way,” he said.

Restaurant Job

Yata wasn’t all that keen on working...but Kusanagi had rejected him asking to work at his new bar. (Especially after he had broken that handle and all...) So he had went out to find a different job. Saru worked, but it really wasn’t fair for Misaki to bum around all day when Saru was working hard...so he had found a kitchen job at the MTT Resort & Spa.

It had been so long since he’d had an actual job...it was so strange. He tugged on the apron around his waist and he pressed down on his hair, attempting to tame his messy locks. He had even tried brushing it this morning! (He couldn’t remember the last time he had done something like that). Puffing out his cheeks, he walked into the restaurant.

He was surprised however, when his new boss walked in the room. For some reason, when he had gotten the job, he had thought the person was a man over the phone, but seeing them now...it was a woman?! Or well...she looked like a woman.”

“U-Uh...H-Hi. I-I’m Y-Yata Misaki here for the...job.....” he trailed off, his voice shaky as he attempted to speak to her.

Yata supposed it made sense that he would be here too, since it seemed as though everyone else was here; Totsuka-san, Mikoto-san, Kusanagi-san...plus him and Saru...well it wouldn’t have been complete without the damn Blue King being here too. (Though Yata certainly would’ve been much happier without him here.) 

And of course, the man was on his ass for doing something as he always was. Their clans had never seemed to agree and from the look on the Blue King’s face, Yata could tell he was going to say something stupidly smart and attempt to make Yata feel like an idiot. He wasn’t going to let that happen! No way!  

Growling, Yata folded his arms and kicked his skateboard up, holding it in his hands. “What the hell do you want?!” he snapped, staring up at the taller man. “I don’t think I was breaking any damn rules,” he grumbled. 

For once he wished Saru had been there. At least he knew how to deal with this man...really, Yata never knew how to act around Munakata Reisi.

First Mikoto and now...Totsuka-san?! 

Yata blinked a few times, wondering if he was seeing things. His hand clenched around the wallet in his hand. Seeing Totsuka-san behind the counter at the coffee shop was not what he had been expecting when Saru had sent him out to get coffee. 

Of course it really shouldn’t have been all that surprising, especially after seeing Mikoto-san. But still, seeing his old friend, smiling his casual smile while he made people’s drinks was shocking to say the least.

“T-Totsuka-san,” Yata whispered. Once again, tears threatened to rise to his eyes. The last time he had seen the blond haired man, there had been blood on his face and the life had slowly dissipated from his brown eyes. 

Swallowing, Yata charged the counter and leaned towards Totsuka. “T-Totsuka-san!!! You’re okay?! How did you get here?! What are you...doing?!” he asked. Though once again, he really shouldn’t have been surprised to see Totsuka doing something unique and out of the ordinary.

Unexpected Reunion

...It...it couldn’t be possible. 

Or at least that was what Yata thought when his amber eyes fell upon the red-haired male casually strolling down the street. He looked the same, cigarette in his mouth, the usual sluggish walk as he made his way down the street. Just looking at him, Yata felt a pang on his chest, where his HOMRA mark was. There was no way it wasn’t him! His heart began to pound in his chest as his eyes grew wider and wider...

Mikoto-san...was alive?! 

Well, he supposed it wouldn’t have been all that crazy to have the ex-Red King be alive. Yata hadn’t exactly seen him die. Others had, but since when had he ever listened to the damn Blues anyway. Even if he had felt it in his aura when his King had died, conveniently ignoring that fact seemed much better, especially now that he was seeing the man directly in front of him. 

Before he could make a conscious decision, Yata felt his feet take off in a run towards the other. For so long he had always followed Mikoto-san and trusted his words. He’d felt so...lost without Mikoto-san and Totsuka-san around and HOMRA hadn’t been the same of course. He wondered if Kusanagi knew one of his best friend’s was still alive...did Mikoto-san know Kusanagi was here too!?

As he drew closer to the man, he felt tears rising in his eyes, so happy to see him alive. There were so many things he had to ask him, but as he drew closer all he could call out was his name. “Mikoto-san! M-Mikoto-san?! Is that...really you?!” he called out, waiting for the other to notice him.

Fix it! || Kusanagi & Yata

“You grabbed it and it broke? What kind of answer is that? Of course you’re supposed to grab a door handle but you’re telling me you grabbed it and it magically broke off?”. Kusanagi was clearly not believing Yata. He doesn’t understand how grabbing a door handle makes it fall off the door. He groans before grabbing a bottle of whiskey, grabbing a shot glass and pouring himself a shot. He then downs it and glares at Yata. “Now tell me the truth. How the hell did you break the door handle? Did you use aura or something? Hmm?”

“I...I GRABBED IT, WENT TO TURN IT AND IT FELL OFF OKAY?!” he yelled loudly. Why did Kusanagi not believe him?! He had been caught red-handed, so why would he lie about why it happened in the first place. Swallowing, he shook his head angrily. “Of course I didn’t use aura!! That would just be dumb!” Admittedly, he had used aura in a poor attempt to weld it back on, but all that had done was melt the end of the knob a little bit. “Well...I didn’t break it with aura...” he whispered.

“Well maybe if you stay with me here you can take of me and I won’t have to get sick like this again. And dont worry I won’t tell anyone” he states. It might have been his delirious state that caused him to actually ask him to live here with him. Either way it was now out in the open and he couldn’t take it back. He awaits for his response as he watches his boyfriend open the lid to the soup container.

He wondered what it would be like to live with Misaki. He didn’t think it would be all that bad. He actually thinks it would be amazing to get to wake up next to him and to share a living space with him once again. It would be like old times yet a bit different since now they’re lovers and are dating.

Misaki wasn’t sure if he had heard him right or not. Stay with him? Here? Did he mean right now? Or...forever? Blinking, he stared at the sick boy in front of him. Maybe Saru was just delusional since he was sick right now? Sitting back on the couch, he looked him up and down, waiting for him to crack a joke, or say something about how he’d hate to live with the guy. 

“Uh...Saru? You serious? Or feverish?” he asked, leaning forward a bit. “Or I mean...d-did you just mean stay with you right now?” he asked folding his arms. “Cause obviously I wasn’t gonna leave you alone right now while you’re sick, idiot!”

Saruhiko groans and grabs at Misaki’s arm before pulling him back down on the bed. “Not yet. I’m still tired. Stay with me first” he says as he clung onto him. He did want coffee but he also didn’t want Misaki to leave their bed just yet. It did take a bit to get used to waking up to Misaki but it was certainly a nice feeling to see him in the morning. He was happy that they decided to move in together recently. Plus having someone make his coffee for him each morning was certainly a bonus.

Misaki felt Saru grab at his arm and he fell backwards, falling back onto the bed. He felt Saru’s arms wrap around him as he clung to him. He sighed and nuzzled close to him. “Fine, fine, you can win this time,” he grumbled. “You complain about needing coffee but then you drag me back down with you,” he teased and tilted his head up to kiss Saru’s chin. 

“There I snuggled you. Can I make us food before we starve to death and you become angst or whatever the hell you said you become without coffee?”

Saruhiko snorts and rolls his eyes. “I don’t need to practice. I bet I could beat you the first round we play” he states with a cross of his arms. He awaits for him to set up as he sits on the couch. “Doesn’t matter if you think if you’re really good at this game. What matters is that I’ll beat you and without even really trying” he states with a teasing smirk. “You can even choose the map. I don’t care.”

Saru was really pissing him off! How could he be so cocky?! Well, actually Misaki was well aware how Saru could be so cocky, since he was always acting like this! But why did he have to be an ass about everything, including video games! 

Grumbling, he took a seat next to him, handing him a controller. “Look. I will choose the map and you WILL lose. I was tryin’ to be nice to you, but forget it! I am gonna kick your ass,” he said, scrolling through the selection

This had to be a beautiful dream. It was to perfect to be real. Everything he wished and hoped for had not only come true but was better than he had ever hoped and wished for. He never had thought that he was actually meant to be with him. To be forever fated with Misaki. Now that was something he had never imagined.

Saruhiko chuckles lightly as his soulmate clung onto him and started to cry tears of joy as well. “Now you’re crying. Geez now you’re going to get my shirt wet” he teases. 

He held onto him tightly, just never wanting to let him go. “I’m never been this happy before and it’s all because of you, Misaki. It’s always you. You’re my light and the reason I’ll always be smiling.”

“S-Shut up! I can’t help it okay...you’re crying too so don’t act so high and mighty!! You can just...wash your shirt or somethin’” he groaned, tears slipping down his cheek. 

“I thought I lost you and I didn’t...and now we’re stuck with each other forever,” He chuckled, his voice shaky from the tears streaming down his face. Damn Saru...even in their cutest times he had to be a jerk...but then he said such stupid sweet things too and Misaki could feel his heart pounding hard in his chest.

“Y-Yeah...I get it. You’re always making me smile too, even if you’re an idiot. You’re my idiot and...my best friend...” he sighed happily. “I’ve missed getting to call you that...”

Groaning, Misaki put his hand over his mouth, attempting to stifle the moans slipping from his lips. He couldn’t stand how much his body was reacting to Saru but so be it...if he was going to keep doing this, Misaki wasn’t going to deny that it felt...good, any longer. “S-Saru...dammit...you ass hole...yes fine...yours. I’m yours!” he snapped, wish the other would hurry up.

Saruhiko held on to his lover and couldn’t help but feel warm with him in his arms. His words also was warming up his heart. He loved hearing that Misaki wouldn’t leave him either. It meant the world to him to know that Misaki wanted to be with him and didn’t want to leave him. It was something he had always dreamed of so to actually have it happen was something he just couldn’t even imagine. He still believes this is all just a wonderful dream that he’ll unfortunately wake from. “I love you, Misaki. Don’t you dare forget that” he whispers into his ear as he clung onto him tightly.

Blushing, Misaki pushed at Saru’s face a little bit. He always couldn’t help getting a little embarrassed when Saru was overly affectionate like this. Sure, he had kind of started it, but still! The guy always had to take the love stuff so far. (And really Misaki liked it, though he often pretended to not) “Yeah, yeah,” he grunted “At least at this point...I think it would be impossible to forget,” he smirked and tucked his head under his chin. “You better not forget either, okay?”
