Twilight - an Even&Ienzo drabble

Something was amiss this evening. The twilight was unusually pink. Like pink pink, not some kind of pinkish shades that faded into shades of purple then indigo. No this twilight, the sky was pink. And maybe there was problem.

Ienzo went to Even, as if the man would have a clue of what was happening. But Ienzo went to him nonetheless. Even was his source material, his guide and mentor. The blond was his father figure. He had reluctantly been these last ten years. Even had been the father he had lost, when Ansem the Wise was absent.

Well, the young man had this habit to go for Even when something was amiss. And this pink twilight was more than amiss. It was purely and simply strange.

The shades of pink colouring the sky were not usual, that he had theories himself, he knew that. But biology wasn't his forte, it was Even's.

"something's not right."

"And what could that be, boy ?"

He thought of just blurting that the sky was pink, but, at that moment, Ienzo felt stupid. Though, he decided that looking stupid was worth it. His curiosity got the best of him.

"The sky is pink. Why is that ?"

Even looked at his adopted son, a surprised air on his face.

"A pink twilight ? It is quite rare indeed."

"And what does that mean ? A good day for tomorrow ?"

Even smiled. A rare and sweet smile that he had reserved for Ienzo when he was a child. The young man hadn't seen that smile in a long time. Maybe Even smiled like that a few more times when Ienzo wasn't looking. He was a proud dad after all, a reluctant dad, but proud nonetheless. But that, Ienzo didn't need to know that.

"Pink twilights happen when two souls that are destined meet. This is a good omen for all souls that experience this kind of Twilight."

i don't know if you take requests or if you have any rules but, can I request Saix/reader where they knew each other before he lost his heart and they saw each other again years later. ( i'll let you choose the details and what not, if that's okay. )

Of course I take requests! They may take a while though. But have this cute but sad scenario:

You knew Isa ever since you were in diapers. You became a part of Isa and Lea’s schemes. They were fun, but you always got in trouble. Every time you two hung out, a crush started to develop. The only person you trusted to tell of your developed crush was Lea. He helped you prepare a speech to tell Isa how you felt about him. Once you had your speech ready, you asked Isa to meet you at the ice cream shop. 

~Le time skip~

“God, I’m so nervous. What if he doesn’t like me back? What if he found someone already?!” You talked yourself pacing around the shop. You waited an hour, doubt filling you. Just when you were about to give up, you saw his mother come towards you. You noticed how she had tears in her eyes. 

“Oh, (Y/N). I have horrible news.” she said.

“What happened? Is Isa okay?” you asked. She shook her head. She told you what had happened to both Lea and Isa. You didn’t listened to what she said later. You were too shocked by the fact that both your best friends and your crush were gone. Isa’s mom gave you hug and you returned it allowing your tears to flow. 

You then returned home devastated. Your parents noticed this, and had asked what happened. You told them what Isa’s mom had told you and ran up to your room and stayed there the rest of the day while you cried into your pillow. You didn’t believe Isa’s mom. You knew he was still alive somewhere. He had to be.

~another time skip~

It had been 10 years since Isa’s death. It had been hard to find love since then afterwards. You promised yourself that you would never fall in love again until Isa was okay. 

Your alarm went off for you to get ready to work at a bakery you opened up. You learned to bake to distract yourself for Isa’s “death”. Once you finished getting ready, you made some toast and left your apartment. You were on your way to your bakery when you bumped into someone. 

“Oh my god. I’m so sorry. Are you okay?” the person asked. 

“I’m okay. It’s not your fau-Isa?!” you looked up and saw Isa standing there in the flesh. You jumped into his arms into a giant bear hug. Isa quickly wrapped his arms around you to make sure you didn’t fall.

“I knew you were alive! I didn’t believe what your mom or what anyone else said! But why the hell did it take 10 fucking years?!” you exclaimed. 

“I know it so long. I’m so sorry about that. You have every right to be mad about me.” he said as he buried his head into your neck. You pulled away and looked at him.

“I’m not mad at you. I am mad at whoever made you disappear for 10 years.” 

“Well you’re a little too late for that.” he smiled. You looked at him confused. 

“I’ll tell you in a bit. Where are you heading towards. I bet I can explain everything there.” he said as he gently put you down.  

“I was on my way to my job. We can explain what had happened over the past ten years.” 

“Deal. I also want to confess something to you that only Lea and my mom knows. I love you.” you were shocked. He liked you back. Your crush likes you back.

“I love you too,” you said with happy tears in your eyes. Isa smiled and gently kissed your lips. You kissed him back and wrapped your arms around your back. You both pulled away for air and rested your foreheads against each other. 

“Hey, Isa! What’s taking so-(Y/N)?!” behind you two was Lea and two other people standing next to him with ice cream in their hands. 

“Lea! You’re also okay!” you said as you gave him a giant hug. 

“uhh, Axel, Saix? Are you gonna tell us who they are?” a girl with short black hair asked. 

“Huh? Axel? Saix?” you asked confused. 

“Again I will explain. But I will introduce these two. This is Roxas and Xion,” Isa said pointing to the boy and the girl. 

“Hi, I’m (Y/N)! It’s really nice to meet you two,” you said with a smile. 

“Same goes to you,” Roxas said. 

“Oh shit! I’m gonna be late for work,” you exclaimed as you looked down at your watch. 

“I’ll walk with you,” Isa said.

“But I thought we were gonna eat ice cream on the clock tower.” Lea complained. 

“I’ll join you after I catch up with (Y/N).” Lea grumbled something under his breath and took off with Roxas and Xion. You two giggled at Lea’s childish actions. 

“It’s nice to see that Lea hasn’t changed.” you said. 

“Yeah. So, shall we get going?” Isa asked as he held his hand out.

“Lets,” you replied. You took his hand walked towards your bakery and caught up on what happened.
