I feel like more VLD fans would be able to understand what the writers were doing with the Clone Shiro storyline if they played the Kingdom Hearts games. Because the more I think about it, the more obvious it is that the clone situation runs on Kingdom Hearts-style rules. “Kuron” is basically the Nobody version of Shiro, and their merger at the end of Season 6 after the clone body is rendered - in Keith’s words - “barely living” with Shiro getting both sets of memories is the equivalent of Lea and the human selves of the Organization being reborn after their deaths as Nobodies and retaining all of their memories from their time as Nobodies.
(So simplify it in terms of parallels, Shiro=Lea, Kuron=Axel)
