Master of Masters?
Theory: Yozora (Why he looks like Riku, why he acts the way he does)
https://twitter.com/steamwhistler2/status/1324875337805819905?s=21
The Destiny Islands trio are named after the three elements that make up the World; sky, land, and sea.
I think they are meant to represent other triplicities as well, specifically the one of
Heart, Body, and Soul, the 3 elements of life.
Heart, of course, is Sora, the boy whose loving heart can connect with anyone.
Body, is Kairi, who returned Soras body to normal when he became a Shadow, and who kept his form together when he died.
Soul, then, is Riku, the boy whose inner strength the darkness could not eclipse.
Soul as of yet has been little explored in KH, and that's intentional. We know it's a thing, because Nobodies are the body containing a soul without a heart.
Chirithy told Sora death is when the heart and body perish together. She doesn't mention the soul however, implying that the soul in the KH universe, is eternal. Or at the very least is not touched in the same manner by death as the heart and body are.
In Plato's Timaeus, it is said that the 2 bands that make up the "soul of the world" cross each other in the shape of an X.
I believe, if Kingdom Hearts is the heart of all worlds, the X-blade is the soul. When they say Heart & Key(X), they mean
Heart and Soul.
kh3 theory: luxu and the MoM are the same person
okay hear me out. i thought about this way more than i care to admit. luxu and the masters of masters are the same person from different timelines/periods of time and here’s why:
time travel in kh is possible only if you cast your body aside, and you can only travel to a time where another version of you is present. the kh3 secret ending confirms MoM is back and guess who else is? luxu/xigbar.
we know that luxu used many vessels to preserve his life, making him an expert on the “separating your heart from your body” thing. if MoM is future luxu it's obvious he knows how to do this, so it's entirely possible he time travelled to the past to teach this ability to his younger self.
it's a paradox, but the book of prophecies is a paradox too. MoM was able to write it by observing events through his gazing eye and, as he told luxu, "the fact that it exists is proof of your success". it doesn't get any more paradoxical than this.
furthermore: according to DDD, travelling to the future wouldn't work because if you did it and then went back in time to try and change events, you would lose all your memories of the future upon returning to your time. but MoM gave luxu his eye in the past, so he already knows what will happen.
he basically found a workaround for travelling to the future, and that would explain how he got in the present, in kh3's secret video.
xigbar is the version of himself who will allow him to traverse time, and the gazing eye allows him to keep his memories. it's the perfect plan.
to add to this, we also know that xigbar/luxu is the only one who knows what's inside the black box... well, besides the MoM. if they're the same person, what's the best way to keep a secret than telling it... to yourself?
there’s another interesting thing to note. while the foretellers' keyblades are said to having been forged by the MoM from their own hearts, No Name is referred to as simply being "bestowed" upon luxu. it is safe to assume it is indeed the MoM's own keyblade and, as we know, the foretellers' keyblades all have their animals embedded in the handle.
what animal does the no name have on it? a goat... or so we believed. the goat has actually been confirmed as being a horned lion in the DDD ultimania ( 角のある獅子 "koku no aru shishi").
we also know that the foretellers' animal masks have been chosen according to the animals associated with their respective sins on the base of the Ancrene Wisse, and the animal traditionally associated with pride (the only sin left, the MoM) is none other than the lion.
but why not just a regular lion? why a lion with goat horns? luxu and the MoM being the same person seems the only logical explanation to me. i see no other reason for MoM's heart to spawn a lion keyblade with goat horns otherwise.
also worth mentioning: the goat + lion hybrid is the most common form of chimera. from wikipedia: "it is usually depicted as a lion, with the head of a goat arising from its back". "the sight of a chimera was an omen for disaster".
it's already been said about xehanort, but inhabiting several vessels, thus becoming "more than one person" is something that luxu has been doing for ages... and it's very chimera-like.
The KH fandom rn
LUXU IS PROMPTO!!!! Mark my words now internet~! I calls it!!!!!!
So I just got through those god awful data fights and got the “bad ending” for Kingdom Hearts Re:Mind and let me tell you.....VERSUS 13 FULL STOP!!!!
Im also taking a stab and saying that Yozora aka Noctis IS THE MASTER OF MASTERS *see my previous theory* and if this is indeed true then Prompto MUST BE LUXU.
Xigbar/Luxu says that he “had to change his appearance many times over the years” implying that he no longer looks like his original self and during the data fight with him he says stuff like:
“This is the end of the road for you” as you lose implying the road trip you take in FFXV/VS 13 and all its symbolic meaning about life.
and
“New backdrop”
as he shoots you with magitek looking guns and the arena changes to look like a lens aperture.
“Not long after, the Master vanished, dimmed, and faded without a trace.”
Does this sound familiar?
Worlds as Dreams and the Act of Waking up P.1 Traversing Hearts
"Traversing hearts to reach worlds, not for traversing worlds to reach hearts,"
Dear lord help me. I know we basically have an understanding of the Power of Waking but I was brainstorming its nature (again), and came to few conclusions that speak on the nature of the series as whole. Namely the concept of Kingdom Hearts as a self-aware fictional construct/dream and how the act of ‘waking up’ results in fading from the dream to some kind of disconnected reality.
The Power of Waking is the power to free a heart from sleep. Full stop. But it later gets re-contextualized by the above quote and the wording is a little strange because... the PoW as a form of travel doesn’t make a lick of sense. That doesn’t wake anyone up.
But you know what does?
The Station of Awakening. More specifically-- the questions asked in the dream world.
