Story summary: After the death of his parents and a bad breakup, Fili is all alone for Christmas this year. But an unexpected Christmas invitation gives him something to look forward to... up until he realizes his ex, Kili, will also be there.

It's bound to be an awkward Christmas, to say the least. But perhaps Fili will finally find out why Kili left him.

In chapter 11 of @khafushun and my collab there is finally time for some desperately needed talks.

Putting this under a cut, because there might be spoilers.

I can totally understand mixed feelings about the episode. 

I, for example, was a little disappointed that they didn’t show how John managed to escape after Euros locked him in and faced him with a gun. But it’s just a minor thing and save for the ending I really enjoyed it. (I know it was probably rather an important decision for Sherlock’s character and was supposed to show his development over the last seasons, but I’m always a little biased, when it comes to murdered children, even if the one responsible was a child at the time, because with Euros one was aware that she knew exactly what she was doing to Sherlock’s friend.)

I, personally, don’t even think it didn’t fit the tone of the show, because Moriarty did a similar thing with Sherlock in “The Great Game”. Letting him solve crimes with the lives of innocents at stake. 

But I, however, had trouble with enjoying season three. It wasn’t a bad season, but to me it felt like something was missing. 

So yeah, mixed feelings? Totally understandable. The hate (especially when it’s not even explained what was hated so much), however? Not so much. 

But that’s just my opinion. :)

Dude I feel you, and I’m so sorry you’re still dealing with this, but thank you for saying something - I’ve also gotten comments like this, and it’s… a problem

Geez, this is so toxic! I’m so sorry you’ve got to deal with this as well! 

I really wish there was an option to stop this completely. Like, I know Ao3 gives you the opportunity to moderate the comments you receive, but I don’t like that option at all. On the one hand, you still have to read the shit those people send. And on the other hand it might scare off the decent people who overcome anxiety or insecurity every time they write a comment.

This sucks and is really harmful to the fandom as a whole...
