GoT
starter for @khalasarkhaleesi
This was not the first time he’d brought a King to this spit of land, and he couldn’t help but feel as though history was simply repeating itself over and over, as much as he wanted to believe that things would end happier for this King in the North, the palpable animosity between him and Daenerys was enough to give the onion knight pause.
He supposed he should have expected her to come to him eventually, as he wandered the rough landscape that formed Dragonstone. He’d gone too far in mentioning all Jon had done for his people, it was bound to spark her curiosity and send her asking questions, though if he were honest he’d presumed she would send Tyrion or one of the others rather than coming to speak to him herself. Yet here she was, walking towards him in the cool wintry daylight, one of her dragons flying overhead.
“Your Grace. Out for a walk along the coast?”

//Gah! Yes! So much yes! I have always maintained that he’d still be alive somewhere. He is targaryen after all.
I AGREE SO MUCH. HE IS NOT DEAD HE JUST DECIDED TO GO ON HOLIDAY FOR A BIT

“No. Love is a terrible thing, Your Grace.” All her life she had seen it cause nothing but pain. True, there was the warm feeling that spread through one’s chest when they thought of someone they cared for, but inevitably it was taken away. Even when her feelings, romantic or otherwise, were reciprocated, everyone left her, or she had to leave them. To hear Daenerys tell it, she knew nothing of that harsh truth. That didn’t anger Brienne; the woman had no knowledge of her past.
She laughed once, the sound short and utterly humorless. “It already has been, many times over. Since I was old enough to comprehend death it has taken the things I love. Keep it close to my heart? It would be easier if I could dispel it.”
"My life is once again the sum of my choices, nor someone else's crimes and I choose to help my friends."
“Well, it’s certainly a very noble choice to make...” Jaime muttered as he folded his arms. He supposed that it must be nice to even have the option of doing all this for the sake of a few specific friends rather than just for the general safety of Westeros, but it still almost seemed to him as though she was trying to show off the number of choices she had while he had been left with increasingly few.
“I haven’t asked how you’re feeling. You’re hurt, too.“ //So, I was thinking that this could be after the end of season 7 when they are working together against the Whitewalkers?
Jaime froze for a moment as she spoke and he slowly shook his head, caught off-guard by her words. In all honesty, he still didn’t know exactly where he stood with the Targaryen girl; they had now each blatantly tried to kill the other, and he knew that plenty of the Northerners had decided that he was somehow responsible for the fact that there was no Lannister army coming to help them. At the very least, she seemed to truly believe that the army of the dead was more important than any fights between the Houses, but he knew he couldn’t count on that belief lasting for very long. “How I’m feeling isn’t important,” he mumbled quietly in response to her. “All that matters is that we win this.”
