BACK...for now
hello my openbooks,
I have a lot of explaining to do . I know. But I actually have a great excuse. As some of you know, I just went through my first semester in college. And I must say, it sure kicked my butt. I have to be honest, I'm not really proud of my performance. I felt like the work got very overwhelming as the semester proceeded. I have high hopes that the spring semester will be better for me.
remember to be that book and stay open.

Product Review - Elasta QP Olive Oil and Mango Butter Curl Defining Pudding
Hello my open books,
Once again, I have to make this post from my iPad, thanks to my brother *rolls eyes*
Anyways. I’m here to do a review on the Elasta QP Olive Oil and Mango Butter Curl Defining Pudding. I purchased it at one of the local hair store for like 6 dollars and some change. So the cost what very reasonable. I was quite familiar with this brand back when my mom and I used to relax my hair. But I was pretty ecstatic when they had some natural product. lemme not go on and on and get to the point. This products claims that they provide moisture, control frizz, define curl and leaves them feeling very soft. Believe it or not, it does everything for me EXCEPT controls frizz. I was always be a frizzy chick. I love when my curls are soft and not crunchy if I was just using regular gel. This product does magic for me when I want to do a wash and go (which I’m going to try to take a break from). It definitely moisturizes my hair. And I was very satisfied to know that water was the first ingredients. As a matter of fact, lemme post a pic of the ingredients: I’m starting to take this “ingredient” thing serious, because if I want to continue being natural, I don’t want harmful crap in my hair drying it out. Anyway, it smells so damn good. I don’t want anything STANK in my hair. For anybody who wants to know what to have in their regimen, they should add this. But this shouldn’t be the only thing, of course. Because it has such a creamy texture, I would use this with something that gives hold, like eco styler gels. I hope that anybody reading this found this very helpful. Take risks with the products you use. Life is full of trial and errors, deal with it. Remember to be that book and stay open, Khalima (obrp)
Monday Class
Finally got back to class today. After a few days of not actualyl being able to practice, I felt really stiff.
Again it is pointed out that I really need to work on my chest lifts, for some reason, the vertical is much harder for me. Some of it, I think, is that I am basically flat chested, so I am not noticing the degree of movement that I am expecting to see. Additionally I have a really tough time shifting my weight from foot to foot and moving while doing things, I tend to be too planted. I really need to practice walking with everything I do.
If anyone has any good drills for this, please let me know (I know I don't have many followers, but still).
This is the warmup that we do in Bellydance Class
Class number 2!
I was swamped with things that needed doing last week, so I didn't get to go to class or practice - which was annoying.
So this week I will be taking two classes.
The first of these was on Monday!
This was my first dance class with my regular instructor, Khalima. She seems really awesome. I'd heard nothing but good things. She's been travelling a lot recently as she is working with Zoe Jakes on one of her shows, so I need to keep an eye on the schedule. I like her teaching style and focus on conditioning. After a week of not practicing, this was particularly difficult. I did learn a really good warm up and conditioning excersize that I intend to do every day. We worked through conditioning, Pelvic tilts, some chest isolations, and walking hip slides with some layering. I was proud of myself that I didn't need any corrections and was told I did very well. Looking forward to my Thursday Class. I wish I could do this twice a week every week!
