1. When did you know you wanted to become a metal musician?
When I received a calling to share the word of the one who my life is devoted to and whom I call The Father.
2. Who or what is some of your major influences?
What would be definitely more suitable. As much as I wish I could name some bands I listen to, I simply cannot compare Khaotika to them as they are different genres, yet having the same mission. The way the music and lyrical content are combined, comes from visions, observations and feelings inside that push for certain way of creation.
3. How do you go about your lyrical process?
It is very organic. I do not sit in front of my notebook to try to come up with lyrics. They come to me during meditation or prayers.
4. What do you enjoy the most from the metal scene?
The energy that comes from the crowd and their research in bands’ activities. As a huge fan myself, I highly admire those, who not only go on YouTube to listen to a very poor quality of music, but also are collecting their favorite bands discography in many forms, as well as their art and merchandise, showing respect to them. That is what distinguishes us from popular music. This is a lifestyle, not a cheap thrill.
5. Have you been able to tour with someone you are a fan of?
Yes, I have, and there are more lining up as we speak, which I am very looking forward to !
6. How does touring affect your home life?
That is a very personal question, but it is very hard, especially having an 11 month old daughter and a husband. Being an musician is the way you choose with consequences you have to understand and embrace in order to proceed with it. To me, music is not only an entertainment, but also the way to spread the word of my gods, it is a mission that I have to continue, in my own form.
7. We would like to know what music or bands you are currently delving into.
Lately I don’t have much time to discover new bands as my schedule gets to ridiculous tempo, but I am devoted to the bands that I listen to religiously, and to name a few, they are Watain, Dissection, The Devil’s Blood, Cult of Fire, and Solstafir. I do enjoy lots more, as I greatly admire a good music, but the list would be way too long to name them all now.
