It is my privilege to be able to learn from Minister Khaw in his last portfolio at Ministry of Transport. It was an eye opener to see how he always gives clear and strategic directions to the MOT family. He is also a great communicator through his regular updating and assuring Singaporeans of infrastructural developments and improvements (yes, he writes his own social media posts). In my second year of working life, I was at Ministry of Trade & Industry when Minister Khaw was the Permanent Secretary. I still remember the sessions he held for staff on Saturday mornings (yes, we worked 5-and-half day weeks then) when he shared very interesting insights. Minister Khaw, thank you for taking on heavy-going portfolios with hot potatoes, and making life in Singapore so much better now.
