Earlier in PM's NDR speech, he spoke of Singaporeans who were pursuing their passions and doing Singapore proud. PM mentioned Kah Chun, a conductor and composer, as an example. Kah Chun’s interest in classical music can be traced back to his time at Jurong Primary. At the encouragement of his P1 form teacher, Kah Chun joined the band and learned to play the cornet. It was the start of Kah Chun’s journey to becoming a world-class talent. An NAC scholarship and a Young Artist Award recipient, Kah Chun has since gone on to conduct internationally renowned orchestras. He also gives back to the community through his involvement in Project Infinitude, a grassroots initiative that guides children from diverse backgrounds in their first musical steps. This would not be possible if not for Kah Chun’s determination, commitment, and the unstinting support of his family and friends. I hope other Singaporeans will be inspired by him, and work hard to realise your dreams. Kah Chun brought his father to the National Day Rally. Mr Wong Senior must be very proud of his son. #sgtalents #sgarts #ndrsg
