It's been awhile since any updates, so here's one. Any way I've decided to shelf Dragon and conquer, it'll be the new a story when I work on it again. I'll keep some of the same characters and concepts but other than that it'll be quite different. I'm working on several new games, I really should narrow it down to one or two. Any way as a treat for those of you here on Tumblr here's an excerpt from one of the more likely games. I'll use Nezaran to refer to the MC.
You step out into the light. The hot sand crunches under your feet as your immediately assailed by a hot and unforgiving sun. It nothing but yellow sand for as far as the eye can see, the horizon shimmers from the heat.
This scene is nothing like the rainforest you should have seen. Gone are the tall trees that provided shade, instead the suns rays are allowed to assault you. Gone is the lush greenery, replaced by the blue sky and yellow sands. Gone is the river that should be right in front of you, nothing but yet more sand and a bit of dry rock. The ground dips here but other than that nothing would suggest that there was once river here.
You continue to look at the barren landscape before you, stunned at how much your home has changed. Sure your kind may be gone but Khebnas should not have changed this much you think to yourself, not from a rainforest brimming with life to lifeless desert wastes.
"Something wrong Nezaran?" You look behind you at Raheem and Abdul who've followed you out of the dragon city ruins.
"This continent , this land it ... it shouldn't be like this." You stammer out still in disbelief.
"Did you expect date trees as far the eye can see?" Abdul quips with a little joke.
"No tress taller and far more impressive than what ever tiny trees your referring to." You reply annoyed.
Abdul frowns with a sigh. "I know Khebnas may have been very different from the time of the ancients but it's just this sandy desert now."
"It's been this way for as long as any of my ancestors can remember," Raheem adds walking up to you," although we do have legends that tell of what Khebnas was like from your time."
"You have no idea." You reply with a tinge of sadness.
