OH I think I remember this, or hearing about it. I think the popular belief I see around is that she’s mostly doing it for attention?

I remember the term “transracial” being thrown around when I first heard about this, and it got a lot of backlash/scorn while at the same time I was seeing some situations in which it might actually be used. I feel like the word itself has weight in situations like say, children who are one race but grow up in a family of another, like a black or asian kid being adopted by white parents and are forced to assimilate. and i think “transracial” has been used by white ppl to mean things like “oh yeah I’m white on the outside but my soul is just so japanese/black/native american” or whatever else. and like, that’s what i really don’t have patience for lol.

I don’t know how to braid my own hair, unfortunately. all I know how to do are two strand twists. I kinda learned how to do flat twists, but my hair is still so short that they don’t hold :(

Us when shit hits the fan and possibly goes beyond our control but we’ve mentally/emotionally/spiritually come to terms with the reality of the situation and instead of raising our blood pressure stressing over it we just accept that it’s happening no matter what we do so we might as well chill and save ourselves the hypertension

part of me honestly wants to, but that would just make shit hard for my coworkers. I’m just gonna check and see if my request was actually approved or if I was just seeing things, or put it for the wrong date or something. I’m feeling resigned already but I’m gonna at least try.
