17. Khonnor - Handwriting (Type Records, 2004)

Listen if you like: folktronica, My Bloody Valentine, 

The first thing you’ll read about this album, is that it was made by a 17-year old, which is amazing seen the complexity and emotional layers in these electronic songs. I remember from a documentary about him that his parents had no clue that his music was getting hyped, and that even went on tour without his parents knowing. 

Anyway, it’s electronic music but with a folkattitude, or you can say it’s folk music for the 21st century. Either way, it’s a wonderful and warm album, with the distortion wrapping around you like a blanket in winter time.
