idk how amano expects the audience to find nono sympathetic, the guy locked his adopted son in ice prison. yes, he attacked and acted like a brat, but he was 16 for fuck's sake. even if nono put him in ice prison to stop him as a last resort, he had the chance to let xanxus go at any time...yet he left xanxus in cryostasis for 8 years. that's why xanxus’ anger and sadness hits so fucking hard, much harder than it was intended. watching that breakdown in the varia arc is almost painful. plus, we're constantly presented the severe scars he got from the event....am i supposed to look at those and not think about who caused them?

that’s true, i forgot that! 👀 fits very well, i can imagine the jumpscares bel could deliver when he doesn’t have the contacts on. being a piece of shit at the cost of his own wellbeing.

i've always thought they'd be a shade of purple or maybe super uncanny white? but also i laugh myself silly at the thought of just. muddy brown eyes. so unroyal /j

spooky white actually sounds intriguing, i might try that while drawing, thanks! maybe i’ll also check how a deep purple would look, hmm. a regular color seems fun too though because bel could very well be bullshitting about his eyes. he did already hide them as a kid when he didn’t really have a reason to, so causing havoc at a massive scale by the reveal seems dubious…

boy is sitting calmly out with brown eyes in front of the other varia officers…everyone except mammon and xanxus are shocked, they spit out bizarre ideas they had of how his eyes would look. levi even says he thought there would be a third eye, bel responds that he’s stupid. mammon already knew about it for longer than anyone and xanxus comment is just ”tch” at best.

what color do you think bel's eyes are?

always been conflicted about this, many options twirling in my head...

pale lavender. seemingly grey at a glance, but if you take a closer look, you see the vague touch of purple. brown, strangely light to the point of being a very unusual shade or so dark that they are practically black. the sun betrays their true color. pink shade of eyes has also been something i've drawn at times. sometimes i just go with the generic blue.

would love if bel and yamamoto grew to have an odd friendship because of bel’s frequent visits to takesushi when he’s in japan. of course yamamoto would be wary at first but he realizes after a while that bel doesn’t pose any danger. he even finds it kinda endearing in the end that bel looks up to his dad. imagine bel going to one of yamamoto’s baseball games and shouting ”KILL HIM!” when it’s yamamoto’s turn to bat. yamamoto laughs and thinks of it as ”you’ll kill it! you’ll do great!”
