omg kat but what about bilbo adopting the dwarvish terms for things like he doesnt call them dwarves he calls them the khazads and he calls the battle of moria it's proper name (Azanulbizar) and he calls fili and kili inudoys when theyre being mischievous and at first its an accident and he apologises for it bc he thinks hes crossed a line but then he sees the way thorin goes soft eyed and relaxes a bit (but also blushes like a teen bc he finds bilbo + khuzdul = <3 <3)

aHHHHHHHH i love bilbo learning khuzdul and impressing thorin but he’s hesitant to use it around the dwarves cause he knows what an important sacred language it is to them bUT THORIN GOING ALL MUSHY WHEN BILBO USES IT AND HE’S SO HAPPY BILBO IS ADJUSTING TO THEIR CULTURE AND HE’S JUST LSKDFJSF

05: Did you take writing courses in school/college?

im currently in a creative writing course!! but other than this i havent really taken any writing specific classes

15: What would you say has inspired you the most?

i cant really say theres particularly anything..? i think writing with my older sister when i was younger and having always wanted to expand on the shows and books i like inspired me before i started writing my own things. right now my inspiration to write is to write stories full of queer characters 

25: What advice would you give to young writers?

gosh im still a younger writer myself! buuut. well. WRITE. just write. write whatever. write random lists and thoughts. write whatever you want to write, dont feel restricted by others! i think those are really important steps in writing 

35:What’s your favorite time of day for writing?

i personally write best between 12am-3am. its an odd time but the things i have written during that time of the day are usually what i like most

45:What’s your favorite character name?

mmm out of my characters? probably a tie between Eliza and Ephraim. 

50:If you could live in any fictional world, which would it be?

middle earth of course!!! i wanna live in the shire so badly

so idk why i was thinking this but like ngcs has been on my brain all day for some reason and im just imagining bilbo having an instagram account that half of erebor follows where he posts silly selfies with thorin and the boys and cute candids of the king and pictures when thorin is asleep with cute captions and on xmas thorin wears a paper crown and bilbo captions it as "my king, always" and yeah oops sorry

I’M SO HAPPY YES I’m thinking it would be a straight-up tactic that galadriel and bilbo and bard came up with to make the nation fall in love with the newly revealed couple faster (not that the nation needed that, mind you, but it’s still awesome), and bilbo is urged to keep it as casual as possible, to which he replies HAH NO PROBLEM and goes on to capture a thousand candids a day (galadriel probably has to hire him a PR assistant otherwise he’d post every picture of thorin dozing off at his desk, and people would start asking questions)

but yeah there are lots of pictures of the palace and its surroundings all beautiful at sunset (bilbo has an eye for that), and cute pics of kili with his kitten trying to concentrate on his homework, and fili and his signature thumbs up and a very serious face when bilbo interrupts his studies, and both of them getting ready for this or that official thing, tying their ties side by side in front of the mirror, SO CUTE

and thorin’s uniform all neatly pressed and hanging on the wardrobe door, ready for a big night, and thorin’s official seal on a scrap of paper bilbo finds on the breakfast table with a short scribbled note saying sorry thorin had to leave early captioned ‘we have very little time for each other, NOW OFFICIALLY APPROVED BY THE CROWN’, and of course OF COURSE the dinners together with the boys and oh my god the pic of thorin in a paper crown is probably the most liked one (alongside the one of just his and bilbo’s hands linked together with their rings showing, and rainbow pride bracelets around their wrists) because it’s just so spontaneous and thorin tries to pull a serious face but fails epically and god yeah???? MISSION MAKE EREBOR FALL IN LOVE WITH ITS ROYAL FAMILY EVEN MORE THRU RIDICULOUSLY ENDEARING INSTAGRAM PICS: ACCOMPLISHED

Oh gosh my ace little prince who feels so alone because there have been dwarves who don't marry because their call to their craft is too strong but that's not what this is. And it's bilbo, brilliant bilbo, who works it out when he sees the pained amazement on filis face when he talks about the hobbits who don't want to marry or love romantically or have children, so they marry their best friend because that is what you're supposed to do anyway 1/2

2/2 and he realises when fili asks in a stunned voice “and that is okay?? No one thinks it’s a bad thing? Unnatural?” And bilbo tells him that it’s the most natural thing in the world to marry your best friend because it’s still love, but a different kind, and fili slumps back, frowning, because he thought he was all alone but apparently not

oh goshhhhh fili feeling like he can’t refer to himself as a dwarf who is wed to his craft because he doesn’t have a craft he’s so completely devoted to but he also doesn’t feel the need or want to find a romantic partner and he feels like there’s something wrong with him 

AND THEN BILBO TALKING ABOUT THESE KINDS OF MARRIAGES IN THE SHIRE AND HOW COMPLETELY NORMAL IT IS TO MARRY SOMEONE WHO’S YOU’RE BEST FRIEND IF YOU DON’T WANT TO MARRY SOMEONE TO HAVE CHILDREN OR FOR ROMANTIC REASONS OR THAT IT IS COMPLETELY NORMAL TO NEVER GET MARRIED 

((and if this is post-botfa bilbo telling fili ‘take me for instance I never got married and I’m well into middle-age now. I thought I was strange for the longest time but it’s completely normal’ and fili just being like ‘well what about you and thorin?’ and bilbo blushes and stutters cause they’re still kind of dancing around each other but he finally manages to answer ‘well, he’s my best friend, isn’t he?’ and fili raising his eyebrows and asking bilbo if he’d want to marry thorin and more stumbling and blushing before ‘well yes I’d consider it, if-if thorin would want to’ and bilbo immediately trying to turn it back to fili and telling him that it’s fine if he feels like he doesn’t want to marry anyone and then find someone when he’s older that he feels different about and he’s almost assuring himself that that’s ok and ‘that’s normal…it is, isn’t it? well yes of course it is’ and fili feels much better after talking to bilbo))

okay so modern au where they go to the fair!! bilbo wins thorin a prize (and thorin grumbles because he couldnt get one for bilbo) and they hold hands and theyre sickeningly cute, and thorin makes bilbo laugh by going on the waltzers with a sollemn straight face and bilbo has to kiss his nose bc it is incredibly cute but when they go on the ferris wheel it goes a bit topsy turvy bc thorin is scared of them and he wont admit it so bilbo ends up distracting him by talking about the stars with him

OH GOD thorin is such a dweeb it's incredible

he sulks for ages when bilbo ends up having a much better aim than him at those throw-a-circle-at-a-pole thing and wins him a big fluffy plush dragon or something oh my god

and then of course bilbo is like FERRIS WHEEL :D and thorin is like 'uuuuhhhh' but he'd rather eat his shoes than admit he has a fear of heights so he lets bilbo drag him there and sits all ramrod straight and stiff and bilbo is like 'you dumbo are you scared' and thorin is like nu-uh..... and bilbo holds his hand and tells him not to worry, they'll be down soon, AND TELL ME STUFF LIKE THIS NEXT TIME THORIN GOD DAMMIT I GOTTA KNOW 

AND THEN THE FERRIS WHEEL GETS STUCK can you imagine oh my god thorin's eyes just widening and he squeezes bilbo's hand far too hard and bilbo is like 'alkhgldhg ssshhhhh it's okay' and tells him to look up instead of down and makes thorin tell him about frerin who used to know all about every single constellation and make up his own, even though he's heard all the stories a thousand times before, and bilbo just strokes his hand and brings it to his mouth to kiss it and gaaahhh poor darling thorin yelping when the ferris wheel finally starts moving again and bilbo just tugging him down into a kiss so that he's distracted <3

soo remember a while back i was talking about the domestic hs teachers with you? well today, bc it's world book day (!!!) the english dept (and one history teacher) came dressed up as book characters and i can just imagine bilbo gently persuading thorin to come dressed up for the day (bc they are both big nerds lbr) and bilbo comes dressed as sherlock holmes (his deerstalker is too big and it's cute) and thorin comes dressed as a medieval prince with a crown and all and bilbo is like *_*

OH NOOOOO THIS IS SO CUTE GODDAMN IT OH MY GOD. 

Thorin would probably need a little goading because I can see him being totally introverted about this kind of thing but as soon as he's agreed he makes himself go full out for Bilbo's sake cause Bilbo's so excited about this and he wants to impress Bilbo and show him that he really appreciates Bilbo's enthusiasm. 

(And of course the students probably doubted Thorin would actually ever do it but when they see how he goes at it with such gusto they can guess why  (¬‿¬))
