Emerging Leopard by David & Shiela Glatz Via Flickr: Young Leopard (Panthera pardus) heads through the high grass and out into a clearing near the Khwai River. She’s about a year old, and the local guides nicknamed her “Matata” (“trouble”) since she’s kind of mischievous. This scene just seemed to mirror the point she’s at in her life, emerging from the protection and support of her mother as she starts to make her own way in the world.
