the players pick the champs so it's kinda obvious that it's one they liked and played a lot during worlds.
It helps that Rakan, in this case, is one of best supports if you have a full team in call.

its a matter of numbers— people treat sport skins like an annoying adolescent treats stuffed bras: If you’ve got only a few skins, this doesn’t count and it’s lame. If you’ve got a lot, why do you even need them for?
I mean Fiora has a good number of skins but no one is complaining about her, Kai’sa is a popular ADC so ofc people are happy for a skin that isn’t KDA. Irelia too but again no one is complaining. Camille and Rakan are almost in the same level in skin departament aside from the SSG skin, but no one is bitching about her.
Rakan deserve more skins and I just wish would stop bitching about Xyaha not being there.
