so funding. Yay or Nay?
I’m debating on a gofund me or donation link, or something such until I can get my shit together.
I haven’t slept well lately, between getting up early and running my head off. Tomorrow will be another busy day, I have some appointments and contacts to be made for the fam, and I want to go off to check in with some businesses to see if they’ve considered my resume. It’s been a full week.
My resume has gone through another update, compressed and added some material. I submitted it to my adviser to see if it enhances my credentials. I am a lot of over qualified bullshit (it doesn’t say that in my resumies), but also not qualified for occupations I am qualified for - because the training was informal. Some places don’t want to ‘train’ you, because you’ve already been trained by some voodoo mysticism. Somehow.
I’m barely getting by, trying to keep my pets fed foremost. But also putting gas in the car and phone bills, so someone can call me for work. Or emergencies - I am the only person in my household thats an active contact.
Anyway, tomorrow I’ll probably look back on craigslist for job listings. And maybe go down to the career center and see if they can be more active in helping me. I don’t know about the funding issue. Maybe a Kickstarter to fund a bit, and put some money into marketing for my book. It’s not complete, far from ready for some new edits, but a kickstarter could put money towards that venue.
I’d do a spread sheet in excel to keep track of where the money goes, or plan where the money would be budgeted towards. I’d much rather have a job though.
