(lol this my fav headcanon) played sports, but also was a bookworm as a child, he was big into Narnia, and went through a comics phase before sports, academics, and social life (dating) became priorities as a teen. enjoyed baking with both his parents (idk why I headcanon this man loving everything lemon. lemon crinkle cookies, meringues, lemon bars, etc. likes chocolate too but the pretentious part of his personality veers towards lemon) please share yours!

I head canon that kid!jean HATED haircuts because once again, he was pretentious from a young age and hated people touching his hair - even his parents.
He said his favorite class in high school was gym, but that's a lie - it was actually home economics because he really likes cooking and is pretty good at basic sewing repairs. He will of course deny this at gun point.
Kid!jean went through a major emo music phase in middle school - but you'd never guess it because he dressed like a prep boy in some us east coast private school. A sneak peak (not really a spoiler) for Second Chances: kid!jean started competitive basketball in middle school and LOVED IT - except he was all height and aggression, but no skill. At a game with rival Jinae Middle School, a certain boy by the name of Marco Bodt, the star of their team, accidentally blocked Jean so hard that our poor boy crashed down on his elbow - and fractured it. Marco felt so bad about Jean's injury that he visited him every day over the summer and played basketball with him as his elbow healed. This how the two became fast friends AND how Jean became much better as basketball.
