Horse figure of the day: Kid Kore Stable Champions French Trotter Foal
Standard Poodle by Kid Kore (2000)
Dogs!!
Dressing Kid Kore "Alison" (1995), the baby of the Kid Kore line, has been one of those ongoing challenges. While reading simple baby clothes patterns, it suddenly occurred to me that Alison might be able to wear some shorter Kelly dresses, if they're assumed to fit like long gowns.
Seems to work! Also, this gives me a start on the basic proportions for sewing more when I'm ready to. So many free patterns that appear when I search "baby" are in fact for toddlers wearing 4-6X. Alison is definitely a baby, and she has exaggeratedly wide hips due to how her legs are positioned and articulated.
This Kid Kore horse is already looking so much better. It's amazing what adjusting a model's hair style can do for it. I think the mold is supposed to be an Arabian, though not a typey one. I'm actually liking where this one is going, which is rare for my projects.
Another dollar sale find pile! Yes, I do enjoy a dollar sale. 🤣 This was from February I think, so it’s a month behind as usual for me! This is a fun mix, I claimed a few items I had NO idea what they are - like the little trio of fuzzy animals at the bottom are Zhu Zhu Pets Babies! I got some My Little Pony (four gens represented - G2, G3.5, G5, EqGirls!), Equestria Girls Celestia, Christmas ornaments, a tiny cross stitch, a mini frame, a Magic Mixie, some blind box unicorns (Uni Verse and Zuru Unicorn Squad), a Pokémon Toxel figure, a Kid Kore doll, a Kelly from Barbie, a tiny seahorse, a tub toy unicorn, a snowy owl mini, a Jurassic Park mini, a beaded headband, a miniature shell basket, a unicorn girl, a purple jug with a face!! Another true mystery for me was the yellow llama/alpaca, and apparently that is a Little Live Pets Scruff Surprise Vet Rescue series 2! Phew!! 🤣 And apparently the big pink guy with the rainbow tail is a Lil Gleemerz Baby, made by Mattel! Entire toy lines are going past me and I have no clue about them until I find them in dollar sales on Facebook! 🤣
