Brixx Pizza Comes to Cary
Pizza is my favorite food. I know it sounds childish, but I could seriously eat pizza everyday. One of the reasons, I don’t consume pizza for every meal is that it’s typically not the most nutritious food available. That was before I found Brixx Pizza, a restaurant specializing in wood-fired pizzas. In preparation for opening their newest store in Cary, Brixx Pizza sent out a Facebook blast…

The Kid's Menu - Episode 1
Ok so I'm going to start this new thing. Steve and I are going to attempt and post at least every two weeks about our favorite kid friendly eateries.
We both LOVE food - probably a little too much. One issue we've been currently having is finding places with delicious food that aren't too fancy, welcome children, and isn't TGI Fridays/the diner/ any pizzeria. Therefore, we are going to profile some places that we find that don't necessarily have a "kid's menu" but do have a handful of high chairs and some delicious eats for the youngins and oldens alike.
EARTH BREAD AND BREWERY
7136 Germantown Ave.
Philadelphia, PA 19119
Earth bread features some fantastic flatbreads and fairly awesome beer. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The restaurant is noisy which thwarts minor meltdowns or an extra talkative (i.e. yelling) baby. There's plenty of people and things for baby to look at and get distracted. We even had the added benefit of a small hole in the amazing wooden table which completely distracted my little one for 30+ minutes.
As far as food goes, it's delicious. There may be limited choices if your little one is a picky eater but they do have flatbread that's like regular pizza as well as a vegetable appetizer that's advertised as a kid's food. Another plus is the growlers - we recently purchased the goldilocks brew which is excellent.
Overall this was a great pick for a dinner out with some friends and the kid. There were other kids around so we felt comfortable having the baby there and it was also a place we would go without the kid and have a nice night out.
