Starter Call for M!A Kida!
Kida sat in a large, overstuffed chair, up in her room, and stared out the balcony window. It was a drear, gray day outside, and a light, autumnal rain pelted against the glass. A slight draft wafted through the room, and Kida wrapped the plush throw blanket around her shoulders tighter. It was almost time to board up the windows for winter.
A small bundle of yellow and white fur lay snuggled up on her lap and Kida could hear it’s light snores from under the blanket. As Kida reached down to pet it’s head, her mind drifted to the other day when she found this creature. A shiver went down her spine just thinking about it...
The Ruins
It was a long ride from Kida’s castle, to the Ruins. One that was long, and rather dangerous. Normally, she would never dream of attempting a journey like this alone - but, with the rumors that the Ruins were haunted, Kida didn’t dare ask anyone to come with her. Any Knight or Guard she asked would try and stop her... and she did not want to deal with that delay. The ruins had shown up in her dreams for months now, and she was desperate to find out why. So instead of taking an entourage with her, all she took was her Galarian Rapidash, and a Sirfetch’d.
Masquerade
Billows of fabric twirled around a large, circular ballroom. Torchlight flickered and danced off the marble pillars holding up a large, intricately painted domed ceiling, and cast shadows down between the dancers as they waltzed across the dance floor.
The face of each dancer was adorned in beautiful, ornate masks, and their bodies were clad in elaborate ballgowns or fancy tuxedos.
Today’s lecture was less than entertaining. Kida was only pretending to pay attention... much to her Tutor’s lament.
Instead, she was looking out the window and watching some Flying Types pass by the window.
Ugh... what a dream.
Kida sat in her chair in front of her vanity table, as a maid did her hair and tried not to look at herself in the mirror. It wasn’t the first time she had had that dream either.
The dream was usually the same. She found herself walking down some sort of old-fashioned hallway, lined with crimson carpet, and faded tapestries. There was always a man, hidden in the shadows at the end of the hall, and for some reason, in the dream, she felt like she had to catch him. But no matter how fast she ran down the hall, he was always out of reach. She’d always wake up from the dream feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. She could never see the face of the man in her dreams, but he always felt familiar.
The maid finished with her hair and she sighed. Nope. Now is not the time to worry about that. It was time to start the day!
Extremely stressed and looking for a distraction so...
