are you sure you want to find out?
Iago shushes their brother with a pillow to the face as they press their cheek further into the bedroom door. On the other side and a short ways down the hall, a hushed conversation between their parents. Puck and Iago both were taught that it isn't polite to be so nosy. But Iago was much more inclined to argue the logic that, well, they were also taught the value of curiosity and, see, they're just a little curious, mama, and that's a good thing.
They had a feeling that their defense wouldn't hold up so well now, though, since the two were supposed to be in a time out of sorts. The conversation they're trying to hear is about them, after all, and the scuffle they'd gotten into with some other kids after the morning service. Iago's nice dress has been grass-stained and wrinkled, and Puck's fancier jacket has a tear in the arm from throwing a punch the moment a jeer from one of the kids landed in his twin's direction.
"I want to know had bad we're in trouble." They didn't usually mind being grounded, but Puck got so unbearably bored, he'd start chewing on their stuffed dragon again... "And if you broke that boy's nose." He had it coming, they think.
