Alright I'm on the other side of V/H/S: Halloween. No true spoilers in this post.
Overall I really enjoyed it. I think Kidprint is going to be one of my top 5 V/H/S segments honestly. Like just SOLID work. Really stands out. This is on par with 85, maybe slightly above it. A TON better than Beyond last year which I didn't really enjoy other than two segments. Beyond is second to last in the franchise for me.
Gonna mention two segments here. The high and the low.
Starting with the low. Despite how much I'm praising this movie, the segment Fun Size was ATROCIOUS. Like I literally almost had to skip it when I wasnt even halfway through it was just that fucking bad. Like...straight up the worst segment in a V/H/S movie for so many reasons. And like...I'm somewhat lenient on the stupidity of horror movie characters. There has to be some level of stupidity for some sections of horror. But my god, I have never wanted to scream at a screen at characters as badly as during Fun Size. Just awful. Never watching that segment again.
Now for the high i actually don't want to talk about how good Kidprint was. I wanna send out a trigger warning for potential viewers. It is an amazing segment but it is INTENSE. If you cannot handle the deaths and disappearances of children, then DO NOT WATCH KIDPRINT. Its amazing but it is very intense and upsetting in a way horror excels at. Like I'm being 100% honest be careful with this if you're sensitive to those topics.
