I just stumbled across this little girl, Piper, who has a pretty successful Youtube channel based in Columbus, Ohio. She interviews bands/musicians (Echosmith, Ellie Goulding, Walk The Moon, etc.) and wants to interview you next when you come to Ohio soon! I said I’d send a message your way. :)

This was a fun interview. These ladies asked us questions from the norm!

“These are, like, the best questions we’ve ever been asked,” said Sara Quin of the band Tegan and Sara, clearly amused during the 15-minute meeting with Connie and Olivia of KidsInterviewBands.com (which is also on Tumblr!).

The interviewers had been practicing: Since the summer, the sixth-graders at Worthington Estates Elementary School have recorded 70 conversations for their website.

Their “resume” includes bands heard on pop radio (Imagine Dragons, Neon Trees) and some that have been around longer than the girls have (Smashing Pumpkins, Flogging Molly).

Trapper Schoepp and The Shades opened for The Wallflowers at The Newport in early November where Trapper was interviewed by KidsInterviewBands. The band - heavily influenced by Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, and Ryan Adams - returns to Columbus Sunday night with an early show at Rumba Cafe.

Doors open at 7 with music starting shortly thereafter. Joseph Anthony Carmerlengo opens.
