A buddy commissioned me to paint some new Macross minifigs. This is a VF-1S Veritech fighter.
They are very different from what I've painted before. Lots of little panels that I ended up individually shading/highlighting, as most time-saving techniques like washes and drybrushing just didn't work here. The kits are also all composed of 3D-printed parts, so they were a bit frail. This is the first time I've seen an "official" released kit that is made solely of 3D-printed parts, rather than injection molded parts. The details were still quite sharp.
Final pic is alongside a primaris space marine from Games Workshop to try to give an idea of their scale compared to what I normally work on.
