The lupyre was pacing back and forth in her room, she kept looking at her phone but no further messages had appeared from 824c. Amber orbs drifted to Triple 8 and 0077 who were huddled up on Star’s bed, the bottom bunk bed. Trip was having something short of a panic attack and was currently unresponsive. Star had wrapped her up in blankets as she kept muttering things about monsters, the lupyre had probably done the most outrageous prep in that room. She’d gone through and covered the vents with sheets, as much as she could do without tools, given Chris the weapons and taken a few boards and rods from the top bunk to use as extra weaponry just in case. She continued to pace, everything was way too quiet, and still no answer from 824c. Star’s muzzle wrinkled into a snarl before she went over and grabbed a metal rod and glanced over at Chris who was still trying to calm Triple 8. “I’m going out to look for 824c.” she told him, voice hard. The boy looked like he was about to protest when she narrowed her eyes at him. “Listen, you guys should be okay, and I wouldn’t trust Trip with anyone else, Just.” she paused putting a hand to her fore-head before motioning towards him. “Take care of her for me, take care of yourself. I’m going to leave the weapons here, I should be fine but I need to find him. I’ve hunted things bigger than this.” she said trying to reassure not only 0077 but also herself. The lupyre turned and padded over to the door, putting in the key-code and the door slid open, she glanced at Chris and Trip, flashing a smile before she stepped out into the hall. She entered in the key-code again, the doors sliding shut. Star took a deep breath, ears pinned back, knuckles likely going white beneath her fur from how hard she holding her makeshift weapon. She pressed herself back against the wall, looking both ways, noting how eerie it looked when there wasn’t a soul about, before slinking off down the hall towards the loading docks.
