Feeling so emo today about the parallels in Olruggio and Agott, specifically in their magic and what they represent.

Olruggio, with his speciality in fire magic, magic that has the capacity to harm and burn, but he uses it so gently, to warm people, to bring comfort.

Agott, with her deep love and interest in light magic, magic that can dazzle and blind, but she uses it to guide, and to console softly. To make Coco laugh, and to spread joy in times of darkness.

And what else burns warm and bright? Brings guidance to those who feel lost?

The stars.

The fact that they are guiding stars to Qifrey and Coco respectively... bringing love and warmth and light into the darkest parts of their lives... The way they are so deeply important in each of their character arcs; from Olruggio guiding basically every decision Qifrey makes, to stay alive for him, to keep going any way he can, to Coco's sheer adoration and admiration of Agott and her magic, inspiring her constantly to find solutions to her problems...

I'm so obsessed with the storytelling in this manga, in case you could not tell.
