In honor of all the 4H photos we've been seeing recently at work I wanted to share a real #TBT. I took this picture summer of 2000 when I was 12, and won Grand Champion in Photography that year in Delaware County. I was the first Huffer to ever receive the award in 4H (not even my dad ever won). I then went on to win best in Show at the State Level and was only the second person in Delaware county to ever win the award. The photo was featured on the cover of my 7th grade yearbook that year, even though I wasn't on staff. This photo hung in the State House, Delaware County Extension office, and in Yorktown Middle School head office for years. Its something that I can point to as my proudest moment as a kid. It's also what solidified my desire to be a photographer. I loved the feeling of people wanting to see my work and still don't grow tired of that. In full disclosure this is not the winning image. It's from the same roll of film, likely only a few exposures before the good one. The only copy of the original I have is on the wall in my work room. #4H #wildlifephotography #kidstakingpics #oldschool #tbt #tiger #zoo #indyzoo #indiana4h #childhood #delawarecounty4h
