After being released and finally getting out of the mountains Teddy had fled the crowd the moment he was able to, rushing back into the woods to get away from it all. He needed to find Kitty, he needed to find her and explain where he was. 

But as he ran a scent hit him like a ton of bricks, his mother, she was close by and he found himself drawn to it, rushing towards it as fast as he could. 

The second she came into his eyesight he was on her, his arms wrapped around her and his face buried somewhere in between her neck and shoulder as he held her. 

“I couldn’t escape, I couldn’t get free. I couldn’t howl for you.”

"You're right, of course I know you're right." It had never been in question for Teddy, on whether or not he could trust his parents. What they said goes, that's how it had always been, and they'd never lead him astray as far as he knew, so why should he doubt his mother now?

"What was the promise?" Teddy asked softly, looking up at his mother. He had always been closest with her, he felt like he could be vulnerable with her. Where as every moment with his dad he had to be strong, he felt like he couldn't show any weakness.
