Alex laughed bitterly, not even resisting rolling her eyes at the question. She felt tears in the corners of her eyes but she ignored them, still just amused at the absurdity of the question.
“Yeah, I can’t imagine what’s got me messed up inside. It’s not like my mother died - no, was murdered by your Alpha or anything. Whatever would I have to be upset about?” Her eyes flashed, a snarl as she struggled to control herself. Her wolf close to the surface all the time these days, fighting for dominance over her. Like father like daughter she heard in Razor’s mocking tone, and she swallowed hard.
“Any territory shit, my Alpha can deal with. It’s the least of my worries.”
.
The bitter laugh peaked Teddy’s interest as he finally dropped down to sit near her, kicking a rock towards her as he watched her as she spoke just as bitterly as her scent. He could tell she was struggling and it only made him more curious.
“No shit, your mom died. I was there the night my father murdered her, I could smell her blood on him. It made me sick.” He admitted as he looked away, there was a creek close by and he focused his gaze and hearing on it, listening to the bubbling of the water and sounds of frogs and insects nearby.
“I don’t care about territory or about what our Alpha’s will fight over. That’s not what interests me.” He said as he turned towards her.
“No, what I care about... is why you’re here after my father murdered your mother, you’d think you’d wanna stay as far away from our pack as possible. But... I suppose.. the curiosity of knowing who and where you came from is stronger than grief sometimes.”
