Elio looks terrible. Bruises beneath his eyes and a pallor visage are not necessarily inherent to their species, but they certainly will become more prominent when one doesn’t take care of oneself well enough. It makes Hunny ache a little bit to see him so, to know why this is what’s becoming of him, but to be powerless to stop it. So many times he’s tried to convince Elio to nourish his body the way that it needs to be nourished, and so many times he was met with the same moral complex that he can’t quite talk him through.

Reaching out, Hunny takes his face in both of his hands and guides him closer, all concern and a gentle touch. “What if the person you fed from was willing?”

Standing in the back alleyway behind the club he’s spent most of his evening at, Kihun presses his lips together, one cheek dimpling slightly with the expression. It’s been another fruitless night, and he’s mostly alone now, feeling the wear of the last few weeks weighing heavily on his shoulders. He feels like he might burst if he’s forced to be alone for much longer, the only reprieve from his solitude being when he’s around Elio or Mina; he can’t be around them all the time, leading separate lives as they do, but he can’t help the way he craves company so fiercely. When he hears someone join him, it doesn’t take long for him to pass his gaze over them, recognition flickering somewhere in the depths of his mind. “Do you ever feel like perhaps you’re not good enough for the things that you desire?”

The breeze stirs his hair as he settles into one of the chairs he has set up on his roof, the night time sky bathing him in darkness. Fairy lights are strung up anywhere they can be, illuminating the space in a soft glow, and everything smells like the flowers he has potted and placed about the area. This is a haven. This is their haven, their place, where they go when they’re leaking emotions and their hearts just can’t take it anymore. They spill into each other, and Hunny feels lighter every time. 

When dark eyes spot Ace, finally, he opens his arms to her like he’s asking her to come home. It feels like it, when they’re here. “The day was long. I missed you.”

A startled little laugh leaves Hunny, no less warm for the reason that it has stirred in him, and certainly no less bright. See, the thing is, he’s sort of been searching for a reason to accidentally bump into somebody for a good bit now, and whilst he’s been busy worrying about what is going to come off as silly and what is going to come off right, he hasn’t been paying nearly enough attention to his surroundings. When he turns around at the sudden feeling of someone behind him, the fact that here actually is somebody there throws him so off-guard he forgets to worry, for a moment. “Oh, you are never going to believe what I was just thinking about.” The pink haired lycan in front of him has been holding his attention all night, and maybe he shouldn’t be endeavoring to get close to another lycan --- perhaps that’s run its course --- but he can’t help where his interest lies. His eyes always have gone to the most beautiful person in the room, after all. “But you can ask, if you want.”

Looking at Elio differently has been something that it’s hard not to do. Shockingly little has changed about their relationship over-all, but there are still these moments when Hunny catches himself gazing at him like he means to see him undressed for him again. Even the residual feeling of his fangs digging into his neck throbs along with it, and he flits his lashes, thinking for a moment before he speaks. “How is your thirst today?” His tone makes it clear he expects some degree of honesty as an answer.

Lifting his face into the breeze, Hunny allows his eyes to drift shut, just enjoying the last vestiges of warmth from the set sun. Everything has been a little strange for him lately, from old lovers and new alike coming and going, and he feels a bit like he’s in transit, stuck between where he’s going and where he is now. It’s hard to explain out loud, but when he opens his eyes and blinks over at his companion, he can’t help but try. “Do you ever feel lost? Like maybe you’re missing out on something you’re meant for?”

Plants surrounded him, the greenhouse near to closing in the dusky twilight of sunset, and Hunny had slipped from his apartment near immediately when he could for this reason alone. Night-blooming plants catch his eye, as well as another person in the aisles with him, smelling of lycan and looking like she could use some help in choosing the right flowers. Drifting closer to her, Hunny offers her a smile, confident and not at all tentative. “Baby’s breath is one of my favorites.” He comments it idly, fingertips drifting over the potted flowers in question, and warmth in his eyes as he watches her. “It’s okay. I’m not one of those vampires that hate lycans. I don’t hate anyone, actually. Not sure how it’s possible.”

Standing on the roof just next to where Damien is on one of his yoga mats, Hunny kneels down after a moment, offering him one of the drinks in his hands. He doesn’t normally have cocktails, choosing to refrain from getting lost in the alcohol haze he was in during the 70s, but tonight is a special occasion. The look of softness, of fondness that he gives him is one that he doesn’t have for anyone else, reserved specifically for Damien, and he moves closer until he can lay down and pressing his head into his lap. Kihun knows that the older vampire isn’t generally as affectionate as he is, but he also knows that making him melt is something that he can do, whether it’s only him, or he just found the key to unlocking Damien’s soft side. Either way, he blinks dark brown eyes up at him, looking as innocent as can be as he sets his own glass down. “Hi. Want to talk about it?” ‘It’ is whatever happens to be on his mind, whatever is weighing him down.
