It wasn't a date. All they were doing was hanging out... as friends. It didn't matter that she'd spent a little too long picking an outfit, nor did it matter that it very much seemed like a date - it wasn't. At least that's what she kept mentally telling herself. Scrolling mindlessly on her phone as she stood at the entrance to the carnival, having decided meeting there was the best plan - she almost jumped when she noticed somebody out of the corner of her eye approaching her, only relaxing when she noticed who it was. "Hi. Ready to go have some fun?"

Eyes flickering desperately around the room, looking for any excuse to get out of the conversation with the latest person her father had decided was 'perfect' for her. Of course, by perfect for her - what he actually meant was they came from a family, that her father wanted better connections with. When her eyes landed on somebody she recognised, she forced a bright smile on to her face before running over to them and throwing her arms around them. "Oh my god, it's been forever since I saw you." The words as dramatic as she could make them, linking her arm through their's, before throwing an apologetic look at her 'date'. "You don't mind do you, I need to catch up with them." Starting to walk away before they had the chance to answer. "Sorry." The word finally addressing the other. "I had to get away from them, for my sanity."

Saoirse isn't sure if this is exactly the right move. In her entire relationship with Karsen, they never once went to her family to ask permission to do anything, but this was different. Marriage is a serious thing. Before she went and jumped the gun, she wanted to make sure that there weren't any rules that she would be breaking or anything she needed to do.
