WHAT IF what if Cross joined Nightmare and Killer before mtt was formed, though we don’t actually see Cross and Killer interact in Underverse.. WHAT IF THEY DID, and provided support for each other during dark times.

Cross was going through the worst times of his life, was the worse version of himself when he was with Killer, so it’s why he doesn’t like to look back on those times a lot. But even in his darkest moments, he was still the light of Killer’s life at that time. That’s why it hurt so much when Cross left. Cross HAD to leave for to save himself, but Killer was left behind with only the memories of their time together.

They probably both moved on after long time afterward but who knowsss, things would DEFINITELY be awkward towards each other though. Could you IMAGINE them reuniting in chromatic crew and just pretending they don’t remember each other and failing miserably in being normal with each other.

ANYWAYS did I uh make this to procrastinate working on the Dust animation… yes… I’ll uh get back to that. ALSO I need to stop over rendering their faces THEY LOOK CREEPY.. THEYRE SUPPOSED TO BE SKELETONS AND SMOOTH 😭

The child in this isn’t Chara but the player, they like wearing Chara skin tho as a homage to the fandom’s history of Chara villainization hehe

Two comics I made of Killer and Dust and what I think their dynamic is - they both hate each other, because it’s like when you immediately dislike someone who’s too similar to you, they were the same person after all. But while they ended up doing the same thing, they did it for wildly different reasons and that’s when their characters and similarities deviate.

Dust hates Killer because of his similarities to the player and he’s not shy of showing it. Killer dislikes Dust because of his similarities to Sans, who Killer is trying to dissociate from, though he might not be fully aware of it because of his emotional dissociation.

Honestly there’s SOOO many great character interactions and dissections that others have done for these two and I’m not wholly able to put my finger on their relationship is yet cause I like so many very different versions TT but this is what I got now

ALSO I’m not used to drawing comics (2nd one are more like connected doodles than anything 😭) or character interaction so I really hope to improve on both.. it’s so hard.. and these comics were drawn at different times. The first comic was the first time I’ve drawn both characters and a comic ever, and the second I drew like two nights ago. I would also say my interpretations of the two characters have changed since then, gah it’ll always be changing LOL

If anyone encounters this post, Let me know what you think and any ideas for characterization and relationship dynamics between the two! I would love to hear about other takes

I’ve been so busy with spring courses so I havent drawn for a while 😞

ALSO I’ve recently come across vigilstars on tumblr and Dust’s character design is SO PEAK. HIM IN A COMFY BATHROBE. Yeah I need more of dust being the epitome of comfort, casual laziness.

Cross!!!

Some Cross doodles with Killer and Dream, I love my favourite weary and tired soldier.

I think out of all bad sanses killer would like cross the most, partly because of that one fanfic series I read called we the ephialtes (ITS REALLY GOOD) and like cross is this sad, entertaining teammate who doesn’t actually want to kill you (tho I don’t think killer would mind either way). Cross isn’t very sans like and he’s just there 😭, he’s also probably easy to get a rise out of, not as easy as Dust tho. Oh I also think they could bond over getting manipulated by some pretty bad people.

I also really REALLY like Cross’s characterization in for the forgotten ones, it’s SO GOOD. just this sad guilt ridden, self deprecating, really really sad guy. Poor dude keeps getting manipulated and used by so many people. I like to think he has a moral code that he keeps breaking because of circumstances and that just hurts and feed his self hatred more 💔. Def my favourite character in FTFO just from the sheer amount of stuff he’s gone through 😭, it’s so sad and wonderful.

Oh someone told be I drew their heads like aliens and I will never recover from that 💔

Im also working on another animation rn - involving dust! But I kinda also wanna make a full rendered artwork, we’ll see 🙏
