Chilling bodycam footage shows the moment Damien Bendall told officers he had murdered four people at his home in Killamarsh. In the video, shown to court during his trial, Bendall can be heard saying he “didn't know what happened” as officers arrived at the scene. He then revealed that he “knows” he will go to prison “again,” before telling police: “I've murdered four people.

His grandmother and Terry's mother Angela Smith said, "I told John and Lacey there were no monsters. How wrong I was!" Bendall had previously tried to plead guilty to manslaughter on the basis of lessened responsibility, but the prosecution denied it. At Derby Crown Court this morning he finally confessed to the murder and r*pe of student Lacey in the attack on 18 September last year. Attorney General Lewis Mably KS said, Bendall, who once bragged about killing a dog with a brick, killed each victim in a different room of the house with a claw hammer. He said Lacey was r*ped while she was dying, adding: "The conditions are really terrible." Terry was early in her pregnancy. It appears that the defendants went through the house looking for them and attacked them in turn. A clip played in court, a recording Connie and Lacey made on their phones using a sticker they made for their candy stand. Mr Mably said: 'Terry told them to come home just before 8pm. By then the three children were inside the house. “What the evidence indicates is that shortly after 9.42pm the assaults started. The fact is that the children were asleep and the defendant was at home.

Telephone evidence shows that at 7.50pm he was at home trying to contact his drug dealer, he called the cocaine dealer and apparently had cocaine to sell and was apparently texting his customers at the time. The Midland Killamarsh
I have never been in The Midland at Killamarsh, but thought I would take a photograph for posterity. There used to be a Great central station at Killamarsh (look for Station Rd) and there are now cycle tracks where the old lines existed, I am sure these old lines could be reopened and a going concern made of them.

My maiden name was Janet Higginbottom I lived on Nether Avenue and went to Killamarsh Secondary Modern School between 1958-63, Ted Lound was the PE teacher then, also Ted Lound came to a reunion of ours a few years ago at the West End Pub, with Terry Ellin PE teacher, Mrs Riley Needlework, Mr Martin Geography he was 90 then, I believe he died last year. Lesley Jackson worked at Bramah’s when I did I think my dad Albert Higginbottom was his foreman, Alan Storey lived on Kirkcroft Lane and used to come down to the wreck to the swings and we all used to meet there, Hilda Hancock and Colin, me and Mick Luck always begged to differ at school, they were really good times, I know all their names, but they were a couple of years older than me, maybe about 2 years. I live at Stradbroke nr Woodhouse, every year I hold a reunion at Christmas, the last few years we have held it at the Crown on Kirkcroft Lane,
Terry Ellin, Alan Armstrong, ann Louder, Barry Morris, Phillip Burgess, Mrs Riley, Rodney Childs, Les Laycock, Margaret Childs, Terry Adair, Stuart Tyas there are about 14 of us meet up every year its good.
