Birthing cave, Sedona
Next stop: Zion National Park in Utah! Um, DAMN. This park was incredible! Which is saying a lot, because I was skeptical about how I would handle the desert. Sure, it was rough for me a for a bit, but the beauty of this rugged landscape more than made up for it.
Really loved the shuttle system, and the general set up of the park, which made it so much easier to recover between hikes. Sadly, a lot of the trails I wanted to hit up were closed due to rocks falling and other dangerous conditions (I am sure I wasn’t actually ready for the Narrows, let’s be honest) but we did manage to complete one exhilarating high trail: hidden canyon! We went pretty far into said canyon, but noticed more clouds rolling in and wisely decided to head back out and down as thunder began rolling. So much for hiking observation point, as the rain hit shortly after. (Do you see a surprise waterfall?)
In conclusion: definitely worthy of a revisit!
