Emma has been pacing the floor of their living room since she got the call from Dr. Whale. It confirmed what she already knew and she was nervous to tell Killian the news. When the front door opened and he walked in, she stopped in her tracks. “Hey.” Her eyes lit up as soon as she saw him and she offered to take his coat. “How was it out there? Hope there wasn’t too much trouble without me around today.”

“It’s mistletoe. Do you really not know about it?” She pauses and considers if she should tell him or not. “Okay, so it’s a Christmas tradition to put mistletoe up and anyone caught underneath it, well, they’re supposed to kiss. It’s silly and a little archaic but people still do it.”
