what he did is against school rules. you should report it with your dean or the disability resource center. that's so ableist and fucked up
I have an inquiry meeting with the DRC Monday. The issue with them is that I dont know if I have the right documentation to prove I had a seizure and everything. And also the accommodation I suggested from him was letting me work 12 lab shifts instead of writing 6 stories and doing 6 shifts, because I am having difficulty finding stories accessible to me. He's against this because he's saying I can do phone interviews BUT I don't have time to schedule my shit around when I can use the audio booth by chance in the INC because I dont LIVE on campus. Anyway, this isn't really something the DRC can necessarily mandate because it isn't a typical situation. But that's why I set up the meeting I did.
I also emailed the chair of the college, who he told me has more authority. However, they all are friends and the J-school is full of elitism so it is probably not going to be fruitful.
From there I am definitely going to the dean of students, but I feel like if points A and B don't work out they will just tell me I'm out of luck.
