Spending time in Hawaii, so far, had been great. Teaming up with Steve and Danny had definitely been a plus, and Kate was thankful for the relationship that she'd built with Steve now. She didn't want to wreck that. But knowing that he was very much like her, and (even though he liked his early mornings) he didn't really like the alarms.
"I wasn't planning on moving until I wanted to get out of bed, Steve. you know that."

“What, I can’t prepare a surprise for you every now and again?” Danny said with a smile, sneaking his own arms around Steve and holding on tightly, tilting his head back to kiss him again. “You bet your ass I’m gonna romance you. Gonna romance you to the moon and back, you’ll see.”

Jack had more than enough information on Steve McGarrett to just head over to his house and knock on his door. What he didn’t have was the courage or the idea of how to actually approach the guy.
How does one show up on someone’s door step twenty-some years later and tell them you’re their kid? With finesse, naturally but he wasn’t sure he had much. At least not in the past half decade. Losing his mother to sickness was bad enough, but losing his high school sweetheart to a terrorist attack had sent him over the edge. He’d gotten pretty far with his revenge but stopped by the American government at the last moment. All of the anger and rage he carried had nowhere to go, and the government gave him a choice...get locked up or work for them. He spent some time then being train for a specialized task force called The Orion. They liked him because despite him being good in a fight, he didn’t stand out as a solider like other recruits.
He learned the skills of a spy. It was during his second job and taking down a terrorist boss who had a file on him did he learn a little tidbit he never knew before. The identity of his father.
The job in France called for all American operatives to flee the country and lay low. When he made it back to the states, he was on autopilot and he landed in Hawaii before he could even think of a proper plan.
He began to gather intel on his father. It wasn’t as hard as he thought it was, his father’s task force was quite...famous.
His father didn’t have a too predictable schedule, but he had an idea of his usual spots. Jack knew it was getting close to him making a decision of whether to man up or whimp out, but for the moment, he just kept tailing Steve and trying to figure out how to approach him. The latest spot was at the bank so after making sure he spots Steve’s truck, he heads into the bank.

18 year old Rosemary sighed, rubbing her 5 month pregnant belly as she waits inside the interrogation room. She had just stolen a bag of chips, but she was hungry and broke and she was not about to sell her body for money. The problem is she got caught and now she might be facing charges and her baby girl taken off of her. She didn't want to lose her baby, as she's all Rosemary got in life. There's the father, but he ran the moment Rosemary uttered the word pregnant in his direction. There's her father, but after being abused and pulled from pillar to post in foster homes, she didn't want him to start telling at her. She only has a picture of him in his 20s in her rugsack, the one that had been taken to be searched for any other stuff. And then there's her mother, Marian she calls her, but of course she abandoned Rosemary even before she could talk so she had no memory of her. Then she found her through sites and got the door slammed in her face. She was about to lose it when the door opened and Rosemary just froze in fear.

It had been one of those cases. The kind where it was long and hard and draining, where everyone wanted to celebrate it was finally over and no one wanted to remember the details. And what better way to do that than drink it away?
The whole team - Steve, Danny, Chin, Kono and Lou - had gathered at Sidestreets to have a few beers, and that had developed into the team getting a bottle of tequila and some shot glasses between them. That bottle was now almost empty and, it appeared, had been consumed mostly by Danny and Steve.
Three beers and an immeasurable amount of tequila down, Danny was very, very tipsy. He leaned his elbows on the table and put his face in his hands, dipping it low before running it back through his hair to try and tame it, although all he managed to do was loosen the gel that bit more. The top three buttons on his dress shirt were undone now, tie loose and pulled low, and a small amount of chest hair was peeking through the V.
"Well I'm gonna leave you guys to it, okay?" Lou stood from the table, a little wobbly. "I'm gonna get a taxi home, and if I don't go now Her Majesty will be making me sleep on the couch an' I can't do that again with my back!"
Danny lifted his head again. "Again?" he grinned lopsidedly, "Whatcha do last time, Lou?"
"Non'a your beeswax, Williams," Lou grumbled, pointing a finger at Danny which the blonde tried to slap away and missed. "Good night all, don't do anything I wouldn't do."
"Then we'd never have any fun!" Kono giggled, waving to her friend. "Bye Lou!"
They all waved him off, and Danny giggled to himself belatedly, leaning sideways into Steve's solid, warm body. God that man was looking delicious tonight, more and more attractive by the second and that was something considering Danny already fancied the guy's pants off. Not literally though, unfortunately...
"Who's round is it?" Chin asked, reaching for his wallet.
"Pretty sure it's SuperSEAL's, isn'it?" Danny slurred, sneaking his arm around his friend and pulling him in tight. He grinned broadly at the brunet. "Gonna wedge that tight wallet open tonight or what, babe?"

“Inside. Now.” Melinda only hesitated for half a second, but it was enough for her abductor to shove her back with the muzzle of his gun to indicate that time was of the essence. The doctor was outside on a break at the hospital when she was cornered and told to leave with a man in a hooded sweatshirt. She was planning on arguing or calling for help, but when she saw the revolver in his hand, she knew she had to go for fear of him opening fire on hospital grounds. Hoping someone could see her leaving with the stranger, she had discreetly dropped her bracelet on the ground before allowing him to grab her elbow and walk her right to his truck.
“Why am I here?” she asked in as calm a voice as she could muster, though she could not help the tremor in her voice. He just pushed her forward deeper into the building, his face a mask of harsh indifference even as his anxious and worried eyes told a different story. Her eyes took in every single detail of her surroundings, memorizing them in case she could escape, and she wished she could access the phone in her labcoat to phone the police. Sgt. Lukela would probably contact 5-0 since this was a kidnapping, and she knew if they were alerted to the situation, they’d do everything in their power to bring her home safe. She prayed with everything in her that Commander McGarrett and his team would find her.
“Get in there.” Her assailant grabbed her shoulder with his free hand and pressed her through the door into another room, where a young man lay on a table bleeding out from multiple gunshot wounds. “You’re going to save him, Dr. Hall. You’re going to save my brother. Or...Or you’re going to die.” Chocolate brown eyes widened with the gravity of her situation as she stared down at the grim scene before her. This boy was not doing well. There was a high chance he would not survive, and since these men were criminals, she knew they’d never bring him to an actual hospital. She did not have long.
“I-I’m not sure that I can do that,” she tried to protest, but that hand on her shoulder grasped the back of her neck painfully tight as the man behind her cocked the gun and tilted it against her temple, prompting hot tears to spring into her eyes as she stifled a cry.
“Your life depends on it. I suggest you get started. Because if he dies...so do you. Now save him damn it!” He released her but kept the gun aimed at her head as she shakily stepped up to the table with their small amount of supplies and began to maintain a steady pressure against his wounds, grabbing gauze to dress the bleeding and trying to figure out the best way to treat the multiple bullet wounds by herself while trying to keep it together.

Red lips parted in a vicious smile as she walked through the marble halls into the commander’s office, feeling the eyes of others on her. She did not bother knocking on the door as she invited herself inside to his personal space. Ernessa moved as though time itself belonged to her. Neatly she placed her bag down to the chair, took out the case for her sunglasses and placed them inside before returning the items back into her handbag. Then finally she took of her hat and hung it on the corner of the chair. “Commander McGarrett my name is Ernessa Matthews I come seeking your help.” Though it did not sound like she was seeking anything, it seemed more like she was there to take it whether or not the team was comfortable giving it. “I have been tracking a shipment of young children for the past weeks and I believe their final destination will be your little island of sunshine and sea breeze. Kono said your team had certain liberties that might become useful to me.” Ernessa then finally looked at the commander, her eyes fixated on his as she observed every movement, every flinch, and every hitch of his breath as he stood before her. “The island is yours and I rather have you helping me than having to tear it apart to find these children.” Then as if she suddenly remembered he had some form of say in this for the first time she asked a question “Will you? Help that is.”
