Sony has a job opening I really wanted, so like the efficient person I am, I go to apply the day after the opening became available.
Go to the company website. Can’t fill out application until you have an account with them.
Make account. Start to fill out application. Application glitches and crashes.
Attempt 2: Same thing happens.
Attempt 3: Automatically gets signed out of my account, why?
Attempt 4: Hey at least it uploaded my resume this time before it CRASHED.
Attempt 5: Now have all longer application information typed out elsewhere so I can copy/pasta it before it crashes. Crashed AND signs me out.
Attempt 6: Now thinking IT is just letting their website fail because everyone is busy playing Pokemon Go, website won’t recognize my account. Reset password, because lkghkjdhgkjfdhglkjdfhgf
Attempt 7: Get into application, fill out application, copy-paste things, FINALLY GET PAST THE INFORMATION STAGE. SUBMIT APPLICATION. OH GOD IT’S A NEW DAY. (note this has been a 2 hour process at this point)
I understand online applications are supposed to make life easier, but this is a new kind of hell, all because of the third part job application sites.
Was gonna do some writing today, but I am done with today and am gonna do research instead in the form of watching Netflix and cross-stitching.
