How long had it been since they had a bowl of ramen together? He couldn’t be sure, he was having trouble placing just exactly how long ago he was in Japan last.

Jet lag was fucking up his timeline. His eyes were so heavy and honestly he wasn’t sure exactly what time it felt like but the sun was still up here.

Finally he raised his head from the counter pushing his hair, much longer than the last time he was back home away, from his face for his meal.

“I forgot how ecstatic you get about a good beef bowl.”

“How could you?” Positioning a palm to his own chest, Akihiko feigned indignation before clearly brushing off the remark and going back to a moment’s slurping.

He hadn’t been here for that long, either.

“Anyway, you doing alright there? When I came back from my own travels, I wasn’t allowed to stave off jet lag because of that damn Grand Prix and what came after. Sleep hit me like a truck only then. Felt I was knocked out for a week.”

Somehow longer hair further delineated not only his movements but languidness as well once Arisato lifted his head. Their length gave the other a more lax rendition — whereas Akihiko buzzed three-fourths right off with a touch of decor.

Akihiko ran a hand through his own slightly longer bangs. “Gained any stamina while you were gone? I’ve noticed you worked out. I bet after this you won’t move an inch for a solid month.”
