A happy thing you should do is go be with plants! I have a baby cucumber plant and its new, small, fluffy leaves are so cute! The whole plant is about the size of my palm right now, and I'm so excited to see it grow! Plants are so nice and peaceful and I always feel better after sitting with my plants. :)

Hey! I love your post "some tips and tricks for living as a Not That Successful But Doing Their Best adult", but I do want to say, electric varys greatly and u must live somewhere temperate b/c I live in AZ and right now my bill for a 2B1B is over $200 bc it's just so hot & I keep the apartment at 80F. In the winter it's nice enough the AC can be off & it's like $50, but yea, just don't want anyone being caught off guard when bills spike in certain months.

Yeah and I don’t doubt that, especially living in such a hot place! 8( I assure you, if I was the one who lived in AZ (i’m from WA) my apartment would be kept at like 40F and the bill would be like 900 dollars!

I promise I wasn’t trying to undermine your experiences <3 $40 is actually our summer bill, most of the year it doesn’t actually go above $25,,,,

I’m just kinda baffled that they don’t like??? incorporate that it gets that hot every year into the amount you guys pay??? like yikes, that’s just. that’s just so much to me. I hope you have someone helping you, and even if not, it is good to give a head’s up to people who live in hot environments!

lol I think if you work at any other shop than a Starbucks it’ll be chill, because while other places do get busy (like The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf), it’s nowhere near the insanity of a Starbucks.(I’ve never been a barista, just gone to a lot of cafes

That’s very true! It’s not a Starbucks, it’s Caffe Nero (which I think is only in the UK?? but I might be wrong) so it should be a little quieter! I hope, anyway.

That has to be the best way to keep people from spilling drinks oh my god hahaha

Lmao yeah, the funniest is when someone spills a drink on another person... they have to lick it off them. 

I was at a party once where someone poured beer over someone else’s head, who retaliated, so they ended up licking each other’s hair, and then the floor where it had spilled, and then they started wrestling, and then someone yelled ‘make out’, and they did? 

That was the pinnacle of the ‘spillage is lickage’ rule.

That’s actually how it was spelled when Doyle was writing the book; there are a few other words with funky phonetic spellings in the series as well, but yea.

i figured that's how it was, haha. still funny to see it written that way
