Second, what is the penalty for a player accidentally drawing one extra card in the opening hand?

It depends if the event is Regular REL like FNM or Competitive REL like a PPTQ or the like.

At regular REL, you’ll take a card at random from the hand and shuffle it back into the library so the player has the correct number of cards.

At competitive REL, the player gets a warning for improper drawing at start of game. Two random cards from the hand will be shuffled into the library so that the player has one less card then they were supposed to have. 

In both cases, the player can continue mulliganing if mulligans hadn’t already been completed.

I have two questions, but of course they will be sent separately: First, if a player casts Remand on a casted suspended spell and Remand resolves, where does the spell go?

The spell goes to its owner’s hand, like Remand says it does.

A spell cast for its flashback cost will be exiled instead, though.

If Geist of Saint Traft is your only creature, would it attacking and generating the attacking angel allow the card draw from Military Intelligence?

No.

Military Intelligence looks for 2 or more creatures to be declared as attackers, but you’re only attacking with Geist. The angel token enters the battlefield attacking, but was never declared as an attacker so it doesn’t count for MI.

What is the result of Doomsday resolving after Shadow of Doubt?

You’ll choose five cards from your graveyard and they’ll become your new library, since you can’t search your library. (You also lose half your life, rounded up.)

Can I use Lion's Eye Diamond as a mana source to cast a card from my hand?

Nope.

If you check the Oracle text of LED, you’ll see that you can only activate its mana ability any time you could cast an instant, which means not during casting a spell or activating an ability. You have to activate it, then cast your spell. (Usually from your graveyard or exile or wherever.)

Can I pay madness costs from cards discarded through Fa'adiyah Seer?

Yes. There's nothing special about the discard. They're still discarded.

If I use Illusionary Mask to put Skaab Ruinator into play, at what point if any do I exile the creatures from my graveyard?

No. Illusionary Mask only cares about mana cost, not additional or alternate costs.

-10.

You can't pay a negative amount, so you just pay 0 instead.
