Me when the worldbuilding brain so bad I have world where:

horses are replaced by big mesohippus,

colonialism is still a problem, actually,

hey those states and their cultures are actually not a monolith and were just forced to be one nation because they were one big island and actually they all hate each other and used to always fight against each other and whoever gained the most ground could do whatever the fuck they wanted,

fashion game is unwithfuckable,

a lot of espionage,

„magic powers“ is not actually considered magic by common citizens but as science and martial arts (if you want magic you can try to speak to the dead or find dragons or have your palm read),

losing your hearing in a heavily oral culture is fucked but have you tried asking your community for inclusion,

hey wouldn’t it be fucked up if you had to follow two contradicting laws at the same time because colonialists are dickheads and intrude upon your old laws and traditions,

actually if you think someone is incompetent at their job/duty you can challenge them to a duel and if you win just. take it. this applies to raising children also,

„horse families“ as nomads is common misconception. Average horse family never moves villages. Horse family Geoki, who owns 500 horses and frequently has to move is an exception and should not be counted,

maybe do not try to build a river dike for a river that has naturally always flooded and don’t build a city right next to it,

there cannot be a emperor because the foreigners would kill anyone to lay claim to the throne, there is no emperor and there are no (willing or possible) heirs unless…. ding ding your mother cheated,

reasonable amounts of uprisings and rebellions with violence to solve this

Anyway I have been thinking about Kilmoore. a lot.
