Knickers and ruffles
It has taken North American consumers many years to move away from the seamless t-shirt bra but the emphasis on avoiding visible panty lines remains, with thongs and seamless styles continuing to dominate. Despite this, over the past few years, I’ve been starting to see looser, ruffly options from independent designers. I recently saw a pair by Balenciaga so perhaps this will eventually make its way into the mainstream like the high-rise knicker?
