“It’s all going to be better now,” Kim Euihyun mutters into Euiyoung’s soft hair.
Their father had caught the pennies Kim Euihyun hadn’t hidden on purpose, but not the wads of cash he’d hidden between the seams of the backpack. How lucky that it was so old already, it was falling apart, strong enough only to carry all that remained of their life.
His father hadn’t even asked how Kim Euihyun had gotten the money he’d taken from him, what his twenty-year-old son might do out at night to come back with bruises.

He's such a dork. I missed them.
My beautiful, beautiful wife. I would die for him.
My child. I will die for him.
I love how Taeju made Euihyun sit, and then crouched down to talk to him. It may be a small gesture, but it's to ensure that he doesn't loom over Euihyun because that might come off as intimidating. Instead, he crouched down where Euihyun can look down on him as he genuinely expressed himself even though he clearly was not used to it. It's really showing how much he has changed because he's willing to do that over his pride.
Just look at how the conversation didn't seem like one was overpowering the other. Dealing with Kin Euihyun who has gone through a lot of trauma, it must be refereshing not to be talked down on (given his past experiences).
Part 2 here.
