Pho is practically a ritual for my girlfriends and I. There is never a day in a month when we don't all get together, rain or shine, for a nice bowl of hot pho. We've discussed in passing that we should attempt to make our own to save money but my boyfriend and I treaded that path before and let's just say we won't be going back anytime soon. Anyways, the girls and I don't like to travel too far for pho so we pretty much always go to one place every time. Kim Hoang is located at the heart of Guildford, next to Tim Hortons and McDonalds and right across the street from the mall. Their soup, I have to say, is one of my favourites. It's oh so flavourful and their spicy beef and pork pho is my favourite. As much as I love the pho here... the service is one of the worst I have ever experienced. My girlfriends and I are on the loud side and the women who work here loathes us. They ignore us, they never bring out our food on time and together, and they just don't treat us well. Last time we were there was yesterday and I flagged down the lady for water. She looked at me and kept walking and I had to wave her over AGAIN. One of the servers that work there is a little nicer and I like her. If it wasn't for the food, we would never return here. I have worked as a server for almost three years (I'm "retired" LOL) and my policy have always been refusing to return to a restaurant with unforgivable service. However, until I find another restaurant where their soup comes even close to competing with Kim Hoang's, I'm afraid I'm going to have to keep going back. ik♥
