Keever sculpts miniature topographical forms inside 200-gallon fish tanks then he fills the tanks with water and photographs them, using colored lights and pigments to suggest dense, atmospheric environments. In several instances he leaves the plaster construct in the tank for months and documents the slow disintegration as it dissolves in the water revealing the underlying armature or form. He says he views his works as an evolution of the landscape tradition and deliberately acknowledges the conceptual artifice.
