Don't get me wrong, I am loving how just absolutely pissed of kse is about the resort being taken. But I'm also kind of just?? Reeling?? At just how mad he is. Like I expected him to be worried about the houwons and agents excetera. But honestly his first reaction to this happening was to just be angry af at the manager. I feel like I need to reread p1 and p2 because I swear he did not used to be this pissed off

Baek saheon... do you feel...guilty? About not having helped the people from director ho's team? Or is it just the worry about how kse will look at you thats sparked this reaction? And also, asking about that paper boat... it makes me think you'd been trying to contact kse, and I the only one who thinks so? When bsh asked that I heard: "Did you keep the thing I gave you?" "Did you get my messages?" That kind of thing... holyy shit bsh my baby...
No bc actually thinking about it for bsh he started to trust someone. Actually trust someone. And had all these unresolved feelings about kse and the agent from jisan, what it meant that they were the same person, what it meant to trust someone and care about their opinion. And then they just. Disapear. For *years*. How long did it take for bsh to accept that kse was gone? Did he try and reach out through the paper boat? What did it feel like to not get a response, unsure if that person was alive or dead? Would it be better if that person was dead, or alive but just ignoring him?
Also am I the only one who's noticing/thinking kse and bsh have a really similar mannerism? In the realm of the threatening act. Like the way bsh used veiled threats under the guise of politeness... it reminds me of kse?? Was bsh always like this or did he learn it from kse?
Alright. It's theory time. POTENTIAL SPOILERS UP TO CH 395 FOR GSGW? (Warning just to be safe)
Okay both of these thoughts have been floating around in my head for a bit now so I'm just going to lay them out:
1) What if kse wrote entries for, or even created the viper?
We know he's a cagey bastard when it comes to details about ghost stories he's had a hand in unless he kind of has to, what with the only confirmed one we know he wrote for being sekwang technical highschool, which he only revealed when it became relevant to his plan. So I fully believe he could've just. Not mentioned that all this time.
Next, why do I think this is possible? Well baek saheon and kim soluem have a lot of parallels from their situation (terrified of dying, unable to tell anyone the truth) to now in part 3 we're seeing baek saheon intimidate in ways similar to kim soleums psycho act (is he copying kse, was kse copying the viper he wrote, or coincidence?).
The aspect that made me think up this theory the most: kim soluems complete blindness to baek saheons motivations. Like he is just so dumb in regards to baek saheon specifically, he has such trouble seperating the character the viper from baek saheon I think. It's so stark and unusual because he doesn't act that way with literally anyone else. I suppose it could be more like a thing of the viper having been an extremely popular character and kim soluem has that personality impressed upon his mind still. Though after its been so long thats still strange imo.
Choi is another character that we know kim soluem knows a lot about, but choi has never really deviated from what kim soluem knew in the way baek saheon has.
2) What is kse's connection to cults???
This second theory is mostly unrelated except for it potentially being another parallel between kse and baek saheon, but I really feel kse has got to have some deeper connection to cults. It's come up enough times for me to think it's not a coincidence. From the two times he's created cults, to that thought about having lost a friend to one, to how the church of the luminous unknown is his least favorite faction and he honestly said how he doesn't like cults to lsh. Perhaps his knowledge about cults and how to create one could be attributed to how he generally has knowledge about horror related things but I don't think so. Especially since I'm still wondering about this line the author dropped literally in chapter 1:
"My name? My personal information has long since become public property, leaked all over portal sites,"
Like what???? Thats not normmallll. I guess all I know for certain that kse's life is not or was not as boring and innocuous as he makes it out to be.
And for funsies my wild theory is that he was like. Kidnapped by a cult or something and escaped ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Okay I am kind of excited for kse to speedrun darknesses again (instead of the never ending nightmare where theres barely a way out and everyone keeps melting or becoming contaminated 🫠), but also I do not think this is going to help make saheon believe kse's confession about being scared.... I don't think saheon fumbled with not believing him because.
WHY WOULD HE 😭 IM SORRY KSE.
But he has been shown in the past to dwell on kse's character and now that he's. Um. Lowkey obsessed. I'm hoping that means he didn't actually fully brush that aside and will keep it in his mind, and if kse actually shows moments that would support his claim then he could figure out the truth. That yes kse is scared but the reason it doesn't look like it is because he's also crazy competent, has extra information somehow, and decides that the way to make things less scary is to speedrun or invent a new crazy method for clearance to avoid the scariest part
